I pick up my Prius v Five on Monday! Downsizing/upgrading from Highlander Hybrid (no Bluetooth, there:mad:). Does car come with aux jack for iPhone, or do I have to buy my own? Can s.o. recommend?...

It does have an AUX plug in the center console. The AUX cord you have to buy separately but i just bought one from walmart in the iPod accessory section for under 15 dollars and its 6" and it works lovely.

The 2012 v Five should take the standard iPhone USB cable. There is no need to use the Aux port. If you want an extra cable you can purchase any iPod/iPhone USB cable from Apple or RadioShack.

Use a standard iPhone USB cable and plug it into the USB port.

In addition to the standard USB-Iphone cable working, the Prius v will also steam audio over the Bluetooth connection!

(I found this out by accident... The salesman whipped through the screens to sync my Blueberry to the car. The next think I know this strange music started playing... It turned out that there were some demo songs on the phone)

You can use your standard iPhone USB cable, and there should have been one in your glove box upon delivery. If not, ask for it. It's standard equipment and stated as such on the window sticker.

Is that only for the Five? I just got a Prius v Three, and it did not include an iPhone USB cable. I used my own, though, and that worked fine.

Same here. My v5 had no iPhone aux cable in the car but mine worked fine.

    Works great.

My only gripe here is that I wish they wouldn't have located the plug out in the open and placed it inside the central arm rest. While I don't leave my phone connected in the car when I am not in it I do find it a pain to have to plug and unplug the cable all the time. There have been a couple car breakins in my neigbourhood and I don't like the idea of leaving an ipod/iphone cable lying out in plain veiw. All I need is someone wondering if there is an i device hidden in the car and needs to pop the window to findout.

My Prius V has sporadic ( such as last two weeks) Internet connection. I was just plugging the iPhone 4s in and a message would come up, asking if I wanted Internet connection. Now, I just get " online connection failed." have tried two new USB cables, plugging and unplugging...all to no avail. Help, anybody?

I second that. I just ordered a Prius v Five and waiting for it. It is replacing a 2006 BMW 325i. I had my 160 GB ipod connected to a IPOD cable in the glove box all the time. Now with Prius, the USB slot is in the open, i might have to connect and disconnect IPOD every day.

An iPod USB cable and AUX cable both came standard on my Prius v Five.

Are you saying you received cables (cords) with your purchase? I have the ports but had to bring my own cords to connect things. Things that make you go hmmmm. W

His dealership probably threw it in. Sort of like how my dealership threw in the cargo mat in for mine.

They were in the glove box when I purchased the car. The USB and AUX cables were in a small plastic bag with a Toyota label ... looked just like other items that were standard with the car.

Wow nice. They weren't standard for either of our vehicles. W

I fairly certain that the cables should be included with your vehicle. Many dealers are negligent in completing the required vehicle prep prior to selling their cars.

These cables are an actual Toyota part; the part number is:
    00016-00062 (24" AUX & 14" IPOD AUDIO CABLES)

I would go back to your dealership and ask them for the cables. :)

A Iphone USB cable was not included anywhere in my window sticker or my glove box. I double and triple checked the window sticker. Is it regional or a car by car option?
