In cleaning my car I seemed to have knocked the washer nozzles out of alignment. Does anyone know how I could re-adjust? Thanks

Get a safety pin, stick the pointy end in the washer hole and push the pin in the direction you wish to aim the washer. Check aim by operating the washer, readjust till you get it right.

It is better to aim just a little bit lower to take into account the 65+ MPH wind that could be blowing across your windshield while driving on the freeway.

I haven't had to adjust the spray on my Prius yet, but on previous card I put a straight pin in the hole and moved it back into position. Took a little trial and error to get it right.

In that other thread from a few years ago you mentioned having a GMC that had the sprayer in an alternate location. I had a Buick that was the same way. The sprayer was on the wipers themselves so they sprayed the window directly as the wiper went through it's arc. It was really a good idea and worked very well at soaking the window completely and was not affected as much by highway speed operation. A side benefit was it got the nozzles off the hood.

Thanks all! After a bottle of washer fluid I finally have them aligned as I like.

Whatever you do, do not use a pair of needle nosed pliers. You will crush the end of the nozzle. (I've heard this happens not did it)

Our Ford Focus is going to the grave yard, but I'm going to steal the nozzles off it and try them on the '08 Prius. They spray instead of squirt... cover the whole windshield. I'm annoyed that the Prius only gets 6 wee streams and they never seem to cover enough.

Worked: had to whittle the Focus nozzle down to fit, but it sprays a fine mist on the window, allowing the passenger wiper blade to work a lot better.

you can buy aftermarket wipers that include the washer nozzles on them but the reviewers say they don't last very long.

A few years back Buick was including heated washer reservoirs on their cars, not sure if they're still doing it. Amazon was selling something for less than a hundred bucks that would heat the washer fluid right before spraying. It heats a 3 second burst every 30 seconds or so, perfect for cleaning any dirty or debris that gets in the nozzles as well as melting ice. But alas, its designed to mount on the firewall which I don't feel like removing the cowl and wipers and wiper motors to get at it. Prius engine bay is pretty cramped already w/o adding more stuff to it.
