I just took a 820 mile round trip with three of my friends in the V. I had my Expedition shined up and ready to pack. I left my three friends to get packing' while I changed clothes from my work day. When I came out of the house, they were in my garage looking at the V. They wanted to take it instead... less money... a lot less money!

One of my friends is an x college football player, 6'6"es tall, my other two friends at 6'2", and 5'10". Then me at 6'1". we fit, even my friend that is 6'6" fit in the back comfortably. Even with our luggage in the back.

The trip was great, no complaints, and the V cruised the NC mountains like nobodies business, even at 75 to 80 MPH. MPG was right around 40 for the entire trip. That's insane! On the way back we hit some nasty weather on the twisty mountain roads, but the V held firm. Even fairly deep water at 70 MPH, the V didn't hydroplane. I'm surprised at how steady the car is.

We even were taunted by a 90's civic hatch with pink roll bar, sway bars, visible from the back. A couple of take offs later from 70 MPH, I finally gave in to the hornets nest hum of the Honda... we kept up. Surprise little Honda... the headlights from the V steady behind the Civic... "R"... :).

We spent a little under 80 bucks round trip. Two fill-ups at around $3.79/gallon. My friends are shocked... me too!

Maybe people will finally "get it" with these Prii. I really do now. Great car!

As you find how capable the v is, you will have to work harder to recall why you still need the Expedition.

That's great to hear! I'm finally ordering my v on Monday so I can take trips at 44mpg instead of 22mpg.

The expy has even lost the right to take us on our trip to the beach this year. the V wins. I still need a tow vehicle for my boat though. At 6500lbs, I think the V has to take a back seat on that one.

Right now my avg. week trip miles are about 600 per week. That's mixed city interstate driving. MPG with this warm weather is 45MPG at nothing over the speed limit of 70.
