Buyers remorse

That brings back a lot of memories.... I remember when my father bought a new car in the early 60's. As I recall, the only options (besides the exterior color were):

engine size/type (6 or 8 cylinder),
radio,
a new thing called cruise control,
electric window lifts,
white wall tires,
vinyl seat covers, and
seat belts....

The world has changed quite a bit. These days where the typical attitude of human critters is "It's all about me", I can understand why there are so many options.

i don't regret buying the Prius, i wish we were able to keep them both.
we bought the 2009 Camry on June 2008, and it was a very reliable ride since then.
There was as massive recall for the accelerator, but that's about it.
We even used the Camry to drive Cross Country.. from Providence to Los Angeles in 14 days.. so many memories with that car.

 

You can also check into the Clazzio leather seat covers, they've gotten rave reviews here on PC for fit and quality, I'll be getting them myself this year!
MY2010 - 2011 Prius

 

Don't settle for whats on the lot today. There will always be a better deal tomorrow. It took me a month to find a BP Prius V with ATP within driving range with the deal I want. Then next day, Diane had the same car advertised for $150 cheaper. My only buyers remorse I have right now is I should have waited 2 years to buy the PiP instead. There will always be a better Prius within 3 years. I'll just wait til the next one.

 

Dealer near me will charge $1495 for leather w/heated seats. Just a thought.

 

Does that include the full power seat adjustment? If it does I'd get my dealer to do it?

 

I think Toyota is pretty flexible with Prius options and they do make sense. I also think the root of the issue for you is the Prius a little bit pricey.

The newspaper ads tell the story about price -

Corolla - $16.5k sale price
Camry - $20.5k sale price ..

Prius (regular) Two - $22.5k sale price

Camry quite a bit bigger and more powerful but costs less. Unfortunately, hybrid drive is a little $$, hence features like leather, backup camera, upgraded audio, etc... cost $$. The way it is and will continue to be.

 

Doubt that. wiring to the 2012 Four seat likely different to run the electric adjustment...

Most likely, Toyota would not change the wiring to accomodate a power seat in a Three, but there's a few around here who could figure it out in a snap.

But, you would need to remove your Three seat and purchase a Four power seat. I'll betchya the Toyota price for a 2012 Four seat unit is $3,000 (a 2009 new mechanical seat was about $2,500) Chance of finding one from a wrecked 2012 ... not good and would still cost a lot.
