pdm, you need to update your profile to 2009 package #6 :)

I STRONGLY urge you to CANCEL the Platinum warranty. Being a CARB car, you are covered on the HV battery, inverter, and some transaxle problems to 150K miles/10 years. Being certified also carries a 1 year and something miles basic warranty as well, yes? A 2009 is the most reliable hybrid on the road, and arguably the most reliable car ever made (at least the ones without HID headlights). There's virtually nothing that could go wrong in the Platinum warranty period that would cost as much as $1275 to fix. HID headlamp bulbs are the only problem and that you can learn how to fix yourself at the rate of $50/bulb.

    pdm,
    Congratulations.
I got off the rocker long enough to see new 2012 pkg 2's for $22,470 this weekend.
You should get many trouble free miles out of your Prius .
I am coming up on 29k miles on mine and I have not had any issues. No burnt out blinker, no rattles, nothing except original tires are getting toward the end of their life.
I am having a hard time letting it go to get my PIP here shortly.
I am considering getting an aftermarket plug in kit instead for my 09 and driving it until I am in the nursing home !
