2012 Prius 2 base model. Basic display audio system.
IPhone 4s connected via USD and Bluetooth.

When I was attempting to enable Display Captured Images from Setup, I discovered that many of the options were not visible. Could not enable Display...because the Yes/No was not there. Later discovered the phone number dial pad was not visible either, making it impossible to make a BT phone call.

Tried several fixes, disconnecting and reconnecting USB and BT to no avail. Finally power cycling the iPhone fixed the issue.

I've noticed several other unexpected or erratic behavior over the 21 days with the car. The interface with the iPhone does not seem solid, likely buggy.

    Anyone else experiencing issues?

2012 Prius Four with solar roof, iPhone 4s connecting via Bluetooth only, iPod connected via USB.

My phone works OK, although I notice that the "messages" button is missing. It seems pretty stable for phone use, although when I try to play music from it, it usually tells me "accessory not connected" before finally giving in and playing.

The iPod - admittedly a very old, 1st gen Touch - worked just fine until I synced it a couple of days ago. Now when I try to use the voice command "play music," it responds that my "music library is being prepared for voice use. Try again later." No idea what that means or how long it's supposed to take to get "prepared;" nor did googling produce any answers. It plays just fine if I push the buttons.

ETA: I haven't tried to display an image.

I did have a couple of issues on my 2012 Prius Two while I was out of town over Easter weekend. At one point while playing from the iPod Classic, shortly after turning on the car, the music stopped and the in-dash display went mostly blank, like it didn't think the iPod was connected. Then I noticed the status at the top of the display toggling back and forth between "Phone disconnected" and "Phone connection established", like the bluetooth was confused as well. It was a 2-minute drive, and I had family with me, so I didn't do any trouble-shooting when we got to the destination.

The next time I started the car, on the way to Easter Sunday services, I got the same bluetooth toggling behavior and no iPod connectivity. But later on the drive home from church, everything worked fine again.

The remainder of the weekend I was playing podcasts from a CD-R, and had no anomalies.

Then it's probably the safety-crats at work. Many touch screen functions get grayed out once the vehicle is moving.

You may be confusing me with Watzman. I wasn't even attempting to touch the screen when my anomalies occurred. I suspect the head unit got confused trying to establish connectivity to the phone (via bluetooth) and the iPod (via USB) at the same after the vehicle had powered up.

Yes. And that indeed is the issue. Only part of the dialing screen disappears while in motion. It returns upon stop.

There is nothing in the manual about this happening, so I'm going to talk with service about getting it fixed. With this issue there is no way to make an outgoing hands free call.
