    Hello everyone,

My wife and I recently found out that we were going to be the proud parents of a new baby girl . With that said, I finally gave in and traded in my lifted 2007 4x4 FJ Cruiser (great truck but horrible gas mileage - 16 mpg) for a 2010 CPO Barcelona Red Prius III. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase but still getting used to driving the new Gen III. It is quite a change but I am not missing the gas mileage whatsoever. I am looking forward to being a part of this great community and meeting all of you.

Welcome to PriusChat and double congratulations. I hope the 16+ cents per mile you're saving on gas will more than offset any loss you feel from downsizing.

Also, thanks for the reduction in gasoline consumption. I'm sure your daughter will find it useful when she grows up.

PS If you're planning on having a couple more after this one then be aware that there are "narrow" car seats available that will allow you to fit 3 in the back. ;)

Thanks! The economical and environmental benefits are so worth it and I am missing the FJ less by the minute. We actually managed right at 50 mpg on the way home from the dealership yesterday!

Now, about the narrow car seats...I think we will stick with one for at the moment lol ;)
