Let the guy enjoy his weekend. He runs this whole site for free, hoping to sell a few low-margin items. You can't expect him to be available 24/7.

Re: Becareful of buying from Prius Shop!

In my opinion, 2 days not long enough to say you have a problem here.

Also handling it as a Pay Pal "dispute" which it NEVER really was...it was a "Buyer Changed His Mind"...was the wrong approach.

Pay Pal dispute unfairly affects Prius Shops rating as a seller. Really Danny and Prius Shop have done nothing wrong at all, it was the OP and Buyer that changed their mind.

Even reading Dannys responses it sounds to me like he wants to work towards a more than fair resolution, just doesn't want a "Pay Pal" dispute on his record.

Of course you are on Dannys homecourt here...it's going to be tough to get a call to go your way...to borrow a sports cliche...

But I'd relax and just keep communicating.

Also? If someone sends you a "PM" Private Message? IMO it's best protocal to keep it Private...and not trot it out and make it public.

U said "this needs to be told" perhaps hoping people would sympathize or side with u but all u have done was make very emotional rash decisions that is unanimously agreed upon by priuschat members as being wrong. In addition, u say u did nothing wrong when from the beginning u tarnish Danny's reputation on top of the fact u may have held his account(paypal) ransom as least temporarily. Finally, u defiantly shift the burden(of blame) on what Danny hasn't done when all u had to do was man-up & say, "I'm sorry, I messed up". What was the point of this thread again:confused:

First ....you created the situation -- asking a merchant to do something a bit out of the ordinary ........ this is a situation of your making. Then you do a dispute - as if the merchant has done something wrong.

Why did you not wait for the proper confirmation that the item had ben receive and or properly returned? At that point a simple Paypay refund would have been issued.

I want to thank you for posting in here. Even though I think it was a bit rude to wait a whole two days and slam Danny. I am thanking you because I really wasn't aware that a Navi Override existed.

So while you may be miffed at the slow response after YOU canceled the sale, I'm going surfing to find out more about The Prius Shop and this override. I may find a few more toys for my wish list in there.

Don't worry, I don't cancel right after something ships, expect a refund within hours and slam someone on a public forum.

You should change your handle from kingsnake to kingsh*it. Totally incorrect way of handling the entire matter. People like you are the reason retailers have to raise prices. We all end up paying for customers like you.

Ordered much with zero problems crew checking in....

I think the problem here is a complete misunderstanding of when to dispute a charge. Generally if no problem exists, no dispute is needed.

To me it looks like the OP didn't have bad intentions and just didn't realize the implications of opening a PayPal dispute. I would hate to be in their position and hope people decide to take it easy on them so they don't feel utterly silenced and like everyone here is conspiring against them. A little jumpy perhaps but it seems like an honest mistake. Lord knows I've seen people ripped off by official forum mods in the past at other sites.

I have never purchased from the PriusChat Shop and I probably never will. Everything they sell can be had for cheaper places elsewhere online. It's as simple as that.

Wow! Everybody chill! Original poster, please take into account it was a holiday week for some people and maybe Danny was otherwise occupied; it was also tax week, so again, he may have been otherwise occupied. Maybe he was sick; maybe his kid was sick; maybe life just got in the way of an instant refund. I suspect you may not be his only customer, and that he may be busy helping other people, too.

Everyone else, yes, you are all correct - trigger pulled too soon; jumped the gun; whatever you want to say, it was inappropriate, uncool, and really bad karma for king snake to post his rant and too soon for him to be upset (kinda like all the PiP owners getting impatient to get their cars.) BUT - I think he/she has the point by now, so the hurtful, vitriolic rhetoric can stop. Move on to more important matters, like how awesome our cars are!

I think this thread has run its course, no?

And before anybody goes on a censorship rant, I'm not silencing kingsnake. All I'm saying is that he's got it off his chest, he may have done something with unintentional consequences and we don't have to rag on him for that and we've expressed our concerns.
