This is the first "car" that I've had in years. I've been an SUV guy for quite a while and I got the Prius because I am travelling much more for work. It has NOT disappointed! Getting well over 50 mpg for most trips and have gotten over 60 mpg for more than one as well. It's got decent comfort, peppy enough when necessary and an admirable amount of cargo space, especially compared to some of the SUVs I've had. If it maintains Toyota's "bulletproof" reputation, then I'll be really happy!!

Congrats!! I was driving a SUV since 2000 and just got my Prius 03/31/12! It's the best thing ever! I just came back from my very first day trip 2 hours away from home today and looooved driving it! I hated driving in my SUV long trips but had no qualms today! Hope you have a great time with it too!

Two months tomorrow for me and for the most part I feel the same way. My only regret is that I did not realize the Prius is not recommended for pulling a trailer. We have a recumbent tandem trike that we have always pulled on a lightweight trailer. It was not a problem with our former 2007 Honda Fit.
    So..... I'm 95% happy.

Welcome! This is my first car (after a couple Jeeps) in many years. I'm loving it. I'm not getting that mileage, tho :), but it's still a huge improvement.

    Congrats on the car!

For jaymac, I wouldn't think twice about pulling a light-weight trailer with your bike. I occasionally pull a 4 x 8 light-weight folding trailer (250 lbs.) with modest loads of furniture, yard waste, whatever, with no problem at all. The heavy center section of my Quality S hitch unbolts with 4 bolts, leaving only two small brackets - no extra weight or wind resistance for the other 99% of my driving. The harness is hidden away and the brackets are easily removed if ever there were a concern about warranty or taking it to a dealer for service. I'll wager you'd have no more issues with your Prius than you did with your Fit.

Thanks for that info ! Would it be possible for you to provide a link to that Quality S hitch that you described ? That sounds like exactly what I need.
