    Hi all,

I was offered a new Prius 3 ,2012 for 23,900.00 plus tax and fees. Don't know if this is a good deal or not. Any idea if i can get it for less or if this is a good price. Thanks, by the way i am in the Bay Area, San Jose Ca.

Go to Toyota.com and build this car the best you can (vertually). The build tool will give you the MSRP of whatever you build.

I think the 2012 LB 2's start at $24,000.00, MSRP.

Not that I've been in the market for a '12 Prius, but based on Edmunds, that sounds like a good price if it's a '12 model Three.

Edmunds says invoice w/carpet floor and cargo mats (you'll usually be forced to take those) and $760 destination charge comes out to $24,699. MSRP would be $26,550.

Edmunds claims the TMV for 95136 is $26,121, not much below MSRP.

    You sure it's a '12 and a model Three?

If you're on a budget, you could look at leftover '11 Priuses, but the standard equipment on the '11 models vs. '12 models varies quite a bit w/the '12 basically getting more standard equipment and having packaging differences. See what' on the '12 models at http://priuschat.com/news/exclusive-2012-my-prius-changes-and-additions (apparently, the backup camera on model Two is a mistake. You have to get Three).

I think it's a great price, which dealership? Sales person contact if possible. Thanks in advance.

    Could it be a Prius C 3?

Just purchased 2012 Prius Three in Virginia (navigation, back-up camera, apps, 3 doors touch lock etc...) for $26K out-the-door (tax, tags etc included). So, the price was just a few hundred bucks under the invoice plus tax, tags, fees... Make sure which year and model you are buying. Also, I got 2.6% interest rate for 72 months, payment under $400/month.

I haven't looked at the '12 incentives but make sure to ask if that is a rebate price. When I went shopping for my Prius, there was a $500 rebate in lieu of the low APR. Every sales person was quoting me a price with the rebate even though they knew I was financing and wouldn't qualify for the rebate and special APR.

So if a price sounds too good to be true, ask for the break down.

That's a very good price. I live in the bay area as well and picked up my 2012 prius 3 with no solar roof for $23,750. That includes destination charge and not including TTL. When I was looking in February the next lowest price I was quoted was $24,500.
