12 volt supply

    2 interior 12 volt supply connections.
    the one in the armrest charges phone ok.
    the one under the gear lever does not ??yet it is live.
    any ideas on this please.

    Sounds like high electrical resistance in the one up front "under the gear lever".
    A high resistance would make a no-load meter reading look like a normal 12V, but as soon as you put a load on it, the voltage will drop.

    I do not know the proper terminology in Britain, but get it checked out by a professional.

    Is this a new problem? I have a UK 2011 T-Spirit and can charge 2 phones up front using a splitter.

    The 12 volt supply connection under the gear lever on my 2011 charges the phone. Could something be wrong with your connection?

    I've found with the receptacle under the console, some chargers have to be pushed in harder to make complete contact.

    Makes sense to me. I had the same problem with the outlets in an older vehicle.
