I know what u mean & I feel yor pain:(. Currently, I'm avg. about 48 mpg calculated on my 17" setup & thats on 225/45/17 w/ max psi 51 on front & 50 on back, so not too bad IMO. Just curious, I see your fuelly info. but what are u currently averaging(calculated mpg) & with what setup(rim/tire size)?

I just did finished my suspension today with the addition of a Tanabe FSB & 2-point lower chassis brace along with a TRD/Prius Plus RSB. I already had installed my Eibach springs. ;)

I'm not a fan of the RPF1. The spokes are short & it makes the wheel look smaller then it is. It also doesn't come with center caps & looks very unfinished IMO. Great for race day, just not for a Prius.

I've been using the stock 15" set-up until December. For the past few months I've been using my 16x7 heavy winter wheels with 205/55R16 Bridgestone Blizzacks. I'm actually been surprised that I've not lost more mpg with them on. My wife gets lower mpg then I do since she just drives it while I like to see how high I can get the mpg.

My Fuelly is showing my calculated mpg. ;)

Just pull the trigger on the sp-10, u may lose a couple miles but the look of the rims will more than make up for it:D.

I was even thinking of a set of 15" SP10's for my winter tires since I like them so much. :D I just keep flip-flopping on which wheel to get for my main wheels. :(

I'm waiting to get some info on some wheels to see which way I finally go. This should be the last week that we forecast snow so I'll be able to swap out the winter tires soon. :)

looks as though the spokes of the MR125 are better protected against kerb scrubs. And I support the idea that 16" wheels are probably the best compromise

Thanks for everyones help. I ended up going with the 16" MR125. I kept looking at 17" wheels on different Prius cars but I didn't like the look as much as the look of the 16" size. I liked the SP10 more then the MR125 but it was only available in the 15" & 17" size so I decided to go with the MR125 which every time I looked at it I liked it more. I'm thinking of buying a set of 15" SP10's for some winter tires this fall.

I went with the 205/55R16 Michelin Energy Saver tires. They had to order them & they should be in sometime this coming week. I'll post some pics when I get them installed. :D

I kept looking at that wheel too but not in black. I hate the look of an all black wheel that just blends in with the tire. It was also a little heavier so I went with the MR125. I do like the look of it though. I can't wait to see it on your car. :)

yes I agree, I think a rim needs a border, especially if its black
I love the look of these but theyre just too freakin heavy, and 18"

Finally got the new wheels & tires on today! Here are some pics! I really like them, they look even better in person then when I looked at the pictures. There were all kinds of other customers at America's Tire that came up & said how great they looked on the Prius. :D

I just bought the 16" WEDS wheels from Gruppe-S too just to have for something different down the road. I like that they are only 13.2 lbs too.

    Hello Supercharged,

I intend to buy the Motegi Racing MR125 for my MX-5.

The only doubt I have is about their weight; on different websites I have found different weights, from 15 to 26 lbs for the 17x7.5. Did you weight yours before having them installed?
If so, can you tell me their weight, please?
(it would be useful even if their size is different from that I am interested in)

    Thank you in advance,
    Luca
