Faint, high-pitched whine when coasting...

    I also get the high-pitched whine/electronic noise but it seems to come on randomly and I notice it only like 15% of the time.

    I'm sure this is what it is. I've had computers that would vibrate and whine under varying CPU loads too.

    In this case, it's like the system is awake and ready because you have the throttle pressed a couple of mm, but you don't have the throttle press far enough to require any power yet, so all that pent up energy is all bottled up and screaming (whining) to get out. LOL! :) That's the best analogy I could come up with.
