For those who are interested in the Husky floor mats and cargo liner for your PIP, please hold off on purchase for now. Husky is working feverishly on specific mats and liner for PIP. Prototype is being sent out to testers for proper fitting right now.

    Stay tune....

There are two features I'd like to see in A PIP cargo liner, if they are possible.

One is having a section that somehow vertically covers the rear seat backs so that when they are folded down, they will be covered and protected.

The other is having a flexible seam near the back, where the hinge is for little door that covers the rear storage compartment for the luggage shade, spill-able groceries, etc. can go.

Excellent wish list JRW! A big +1.:cheer2:

This is precisely what I would want, as we always keep our back seats down for carrying cargo of various sorts.

I wonder if mat manufacturers read these posts...

At least at first glance from the photos, I anticipate some benefits and problems with these cargo liners.

On the plus side, being canvas they are flexible so they would bend when the seatbacks and the little storage area door are up or down.

On the minus side, being canvas they would get dirty. Rubber mats are easy to clean. Fabric liners would occasionally need to be washed and would eventually wear out just like clothes do in the washing machine. Also, it looks like they would be attached to the top of the seatbacks using velcro. I wonder what that would do to the car's carpeting?

RATS! I called JuicedHybrid.com about this cargo liner and it turns out it will NOT fit a PiP. The cargo area footprint in the PiP is slightly smaller due to the extra battery size.

I already ordered, and sent back, a rubber cargo mat. I didn't like it because it doesn't extend to cover the back seats when folded down (I knew that but thought I'd look at it anyway). But also because it was so hard to lift the door to the 'cord department' with the mat in place. Oh well, I'll just wait a little longer...

I ordered the Husky cargo mat for the Gen III Prius from Amazon (Amazon.com: Husky Liners Custom Fit WeatherBeater Trunk Liner (Grey): Automotive)

It seems to fit just fine.

Yes. the Cargo liner fits very well...I like it! Now I can throw my golf cart in the back without worry about cleaning it up first.

When I went to this Amazon page and input "2012" and "Toyota" and "Prius" I get the message that they "do not fit" this model. But it says a model does fit a 2010 or 2011 Prius...I assume this is the model you ordered that fit fine with your PiP? Thanks!

FYI...I went ahead and ordered these (the ones listed as fitting the 2010 and 2011) and they fit great in my 2012 PIP.

I just noticed that the other night. It doesn't have any "lip" on the sides so it wont hold liquid, but it will prevent stains.

But then again, that's what I have a floor mat for. I guess if I am going to put something in there that is very messy I will flip it over. The bottom even has lots of rubber feet (to keep it from sliding around with rubber side down) so it will hold stuff in place.
