    Hi!

I am new to this forum - my husband and I are considering an 06 prius. Would anyone here have a recommendation on a dealer in the Smyrna area (cobb county)? Thus far, we have visited Cobb Toyota and Marietta Toyota.

    Thanks!

Marietta Toyota has more than most dealers in the Atlanta Metro. Sandy Springs Toyota has about the same, but I would not recommend that. Their sales are very aggressive and they will most likely sell above MSRP.

I have been dealing with Heyward Allen Toyota in Athens. They sell at MSRP and their doc fee is only 199. Ask for Glenn Argo.

I was just their today putting my dibs on an 06 silver pkg 5.

Also, don't let them tell you that you can use the HOV while alone in the Prius. That is not approved yet. GA is waiting on the EPA.

Thanks for the info. Also, did you try out Cobb Toyota and if so, how was your experience with them? Of the dealers that i have spoken to, they have been the straightest with me (i think), so far - even though their doc fee is excessive.

    Thanks again.

Never did talk to them or go by because they always seemed to only have one Prius on the lot.

If you haven't done so already, you should check out www.buyatoyota.com. You can select the dealers and see their inventory (colors, options, etc.) and pending orders online. As of today, Cobb Toyota only has 4 in their allocation while Marietta and Heyward Allen have 9 and 10, respectively. I went by Marietta Toyota over the weekend and they had 7 on the lot (5 different colors). Today, Heyward Allen had 5 on the lot.

But that is only good for letting you see and drive the color/options you want. Any dealer should be able to trade for the car you want in the region.

What was Cobb's pricing? If they are the closest to you and fairly priced, it may be worth it for the service advantage.

Not much by way of incentives (other than a good car, i might add)...MSRP + a 395 doc fee.
    Merry christmas. :)

If you wish quick delivery of the car equiped as you want with no mark-up (plus good service), I suggest you see/call Jeff Hennen (678.547.9006) at World Toyota on Peachtree Industrial Blvd. and tell him that Michael and Pat referred you to him (no relation other than two satisfied Prius customers).

I have 10,000 miles on the Prius and just experienced my 2nd maintenance visit with Atlanta Toyota in Duluth this morning. I've been disappointed with them both visits (nice people, but I don't feel their work and advice are worth what I pay them). They are close to my house, but I think I am willing to jump ship and look elsewhere.

Know it's a narrow target audience here, but any maintenance experience with other dealers on the North side of town? I just want a tech (and a service manager) that is good, and Galaxy's hubby is a little too far away to work on my car....
