Yup. Similar one anyway. It doesn't bother me unless the husband is in the car since I listen to audiobooks, but it seems to be pretty intermittent with my Android Incredible. I have the 6.1 screen system, and with the Android, it does connect with bluetooth. A hard reboot of the phone works every time.

For someone like me, Entune is a waste of technology with the exception of the weather app.

I wonder when the software update will come out? I'd guess they are working on it since the customer service rep said they are getting an earful on the issue  Guess with anything new there has to be live testing and it appears we are the testers :p

I'll have to try that WX app this weekend.

I know they told you to do a bunch of stuff, but I think the key was that you reopened the Entunes app. Since everything else works it means that Bluetooth is working OK and you don't need to re-pair your phone. That's good news.

I'll try it myself. I just opened the Entune app on my phone, and then hit the home button. When I get in my car in the morning, I'll see if Entune works or not. If not, I'll reopen the app and see if that does the trick.

I'll let you know what happens.

Awesome :p That makes sense what you said about Bluetooth working OK. I previously deleted my car on my iPhone's Bluetooth devices list and then re-paired them only to find it did nothing different; no Entune communications. By force closing Entunes in SB Settings, Entune would be restarted from scratch the next time, which always worked with the car. Sounds like you got it nailed down for what is going wrong :) Here's wishing you luck come sunrise that it works :thumb:

Mike, only a Prius owner would say " I powered down the car"

Love it, I used to just turn the car off

Ain't that the truth :p Gotta love this car, freakin cool as heck. It still hasn't completely hit home that I own one. Been renting them almost every month since mid/late 2009

As promised, I let the phone charge overnight with the Entune app down in the multi-tasking bar. This morning, I got in the car, pressed the start button, waited a second until I got the message that the phone had paired - you do that, right? - then pressed the info/apps button, and then apps.

It took maybe a minute with the screen saying "please wait," and then up popped the apps and everything worked. I used Bing to locate something I needed to pick up. Bing actually found a store I wasn't aware of - which surprised me because I usually think of Bing as rather brainless. I mapped it from the search screen and started nav, and that all work. It was actually sort of cool, although I can't think I would use it a lot.

I did a bunch of running around today with several 1+ hour stops in between. Every time I got into the car, I pressed the apps button and it worked. Every single time.

The only way that I could make it *not* work was to completely force-kill the Entunes app. Then I got a message that something to the effect that "you must have an application running on your phone." I started the Entune app again, and again it work.

I'm not sure what to tell you, Mike. It wasn't a very successful test because I couldn't reproduce your results. :( I wanted to see what version of Entune was loaded on the car, but I can't find a way to tell.

I'll leave Entune in the multi-tasking bar and try it out every now and then to see what happens. But for now it's hard to say whether there's actually something wrong with yours or not.

haha re: "powering the car down." I didn't even catch that. I've driven a Prius since 2005, and booting my car up and powering it down just seems normal. :D

Mine performed perfect all day doing what you did by being in & out of the car. I do the same initial setup like you do. For whatever reason it always worked today and I did not have to force close/restart Entune at all. The last trip tonight I opened up Entune in the house far from the car and plugged it into the USB port as it needed to charge and it worked flawless. Don't know why it failed before but for now it is working as it should :p

Cool! Sometimes I think it just needs to know you're paying attention. :D

Over the last couple days my problem now seems to be more with pandora than entune. Entune starts up fine, but then pandora does funky stuff. It may tell me that an app needs to be running on my phone. Or it may load and say it's playing a song but I won't have any audio.

    Any ideas?

Does all the other stuff work just not Pandora? I have never seen that issue on mine but I have limited use since I don't drive it every day. What happens if you reboot your phone then try again?

I don't use the other apps like movietix or opentable so i do not know.
And sometimes the Pandora will work, it's just that more than half the time it does not. The whole thing just seems way too sensitive. I think maybe if I get in the car, then get out, then hop on one foot while turning in a circle 3 times, then recite Samuel L Jackson's rant in Pulp Fiction, then get back in the car, plug in my phone and start entune, it will work. But if you vary from ANY part of that, there is no telling what will happen.

:p It's strange as last Sunday I was in & out of my car frequently and Pandora worked every time. Just so we know, what IOS are you running and I don't remember if I asked Jailbroken or not. Maybe with enough data we can nail these issues down and come up with a fix that works 100%. At least until Toyota kicks out an update.

It appears to be all software bugs. They must have been in a hurry to get it to production and decided to work out the issues on the fly. Hyundai is doing that with the Sonata Hybrid which is or was, the last time I checked up on it, a software nightmare. I considered that car until I found out about the software issues and I can say our car's are a work of fine art compared to what they are going thru

All of the Entune apps use your phone's data plan, so your phone has to be connected to your carrier as well as to the car. I'm wondering if some of the issues that people are having re: Pandora being "spotty" have to do with gaining and losing connection as you travel? Especially if you're in an area with iffy cell coverage to begin with. I don't use Pandora much myself, but perhaps it's more noticeable with an app that's streaming audio all the time, vs. an app like On Table that has no audio.

I'd like to see your little ritual though. You Tube maybe?

I am having the same issues with Entune, sometimes it works but mostly it does not work. lately only getting error messages. This is real beta software junk. To bad, I really enjoy Pandora and Iheart Radio, but Entune took the fun out of that real quick. So, for me the the fix did not work.

For me, entune/pandora has worked perfectly for the last couple weeks, ever since I called Toyota and they told me to turn my phone's wifi off.
    No more frustrations since then.

I have wifi off. I restored my I phone 4s ,deleted then installed Entune, but it seems to lose its way after a day or so, I can delete the phone from the system and let it reestablish Bluetooth settings, I then can get the apps to work for a day or two.
