Bought a 2011 Prius three just before the 2012s came out. Can the audio system in the 2011 be repalced with the 2012 touchscreen w/o nav and still function with the steering wheel controls?

Even if it were, I doubt it'd be cost effective given the typical price of such parts from Toyota, unless you can find one from a wrecked '12.

Anyone have a link to prices for the '12 base HU at a Toyota online parts store?

This would be a nice upgrade for the 2011s...a quick google didn't turn up anything.

Not cost effective. Harnesses are different.

It's going to be more of a DIY project. You're gonna have to get the harness to the 2012 radio and splice the wiring. The plugs are not plug and play. The 6 pin plug for the VSS, reverse and parking brake wire is now part of the main harness on the 2012. I have no clue on other wiring. If you can't do it yourself, take it to a shop that specialize in Toyotas. They may have a better idea what wires goes to where. You can also download the wiring schematic for both year from TIS website.
