    Have not had a chance to drive it but sitting in the parking lot the FM sounded clearer than with the post. Satellite still works fine also. Will post again after next trip and let you know if there is any difference in reception while driving.

    I have had a chance to cruise around and the reception is better than the post antenna was.

    how difficult was it to install? i heard someone say you had to take apart the head liner, i hope that isn't true.

    no.. those types of shark fin antennas just go over and cover the stock base.. no need to remove the stock base..

    if you were to replace the stock base... then yes... you'd have to remove it from underneath.

    It was in easy install.

    1. remove post from base
    2. clean wax from around base
    3. measure for centering on car
    4. clean area around base with alcohol
    5. screw wire from shark fin to base with provided screw
    6. remove backing from shark fin
    7. stick to car

    Which beatsonic antenna did you ordered? I have the type5 :p most of my friend commented that the shape match the shape of prius c perfectly...

    i'm still deciding, but i have the package 2.. so the stock antenna base is smaller than the 3&4.. and is the same as the Scion iQ.. and I believe the Scion FR-S is also the same base.

    Beat-Sonic has one that they made fit for the FR-S which should fit mine.. it looks like this:

    so.. i'm thinking that one right now.. unless i see something else that catches my eye.. but i'll be going to their US facility in a few weeks.. so I'll be able to choose in person :)

    Looks awesome... Just got the call from the dealership... I placed the order for my C2 2.5 weeks ago.. They were finally able to allocate me one. I'll have it the end of May. I'm def going with the sharkfin. I want to order it before I get the car so it can be one of the first changes I make. Where is the best place to get them? I want it to match the blue streak blue exactly.

    So I am correct to assume that the shark fin from the prius chat shop just sticks over the stock base right?

    My antenna just arrived yesterday and I don't even have my C2 yet. I got a call from the dealership yesterday saying that I should have it next week.

    The antenna looks super easy to install.

    I don't really listen to FM much, but any word on how it may or may not have affected reception ?

    I've had mine for two weeks , now. I've travelled to over 400 miles from home on the highways in the city and in rural areas. I can hear NO DIFFERENCE.
