    Today, I bought a 2012 Prius II, base except for leather interior. I thought you may be interested in the going prices. Final sales price was 22,400 plus the unavoidable 800 destination/delivery fee for the Southeast. Then I negotiated leather interior for 700. That makes 23,900, plus tag, tax an d title...car is Sea Glass Pearl with light gray interior. I'm dealing with a local non-dealer audio guy to install backup camera...his estimate for this is 599. I'm providing these numbers for your comparison shopping...hope this helps!

    Check out Diane's prices in California here;

    http://priuschat.com/forums/dealers-pricing/108326-socal-diannes-may-2012-deals-cs-hatchbacks.html

    I seriously considered flying out from Florida to pick one up from her. My wife and I were planning on driving it from California to Florda as a nice cross country adventure. We recently retired so time is not a problem.

    Unfortunately California $8.75% sales tax would have to be paid if I drove it off their lot. A Prius 5, with Advanced tech package would cost almost an additional $1000 over Florida sales tax. When you add the cost of 2 airline tickets it did not make sense,

    Diane's pricing was in line with best deal I could get in Florida. I got quotes $1000 BELOW dealer invoice, or about 2,500 below MSRP, through USAA buying service! for a pkg 5 with Advanced a tech option and mats.

    Paid 21,700 OTD! Haven't paid tax yet but I think 21,700 is a hell of a deal

    Having just bought a 3 here in so cal i want to mention that Diane's prices are absolutely not the lowest. She offers a great service for people looking for no hassle shopping and an ok price, but she is far from the best price you can get. Without too much effort and doing online shopping only I was easily able to beat her best price by 800. I had competitive pricing from several dealers and ended up going with the one that was most polite over email. PM me if you would like contact info for the dealers I worked with.
