The car does decelerate more quickly than normal and even when I drive the car from stop on EV mode on flat ground, it is slower than usual. Hence the flooring the pedal to make it move faster.

There must something seriously wrong if this is the case. If it were me, I'd bring it right back to the dealer, to avoid potential further damage.

If it decelerates more quickly you have an issue with drag, i.e., a dragging brake or bad bearing.

Test this by getting up to speed and shifting to N. If the car slows down faster than normal you know it has nothing to do with the battery, engine, inverter, or anything else making the car go. If this is the case, look for something causing drag. Check to see if any of your brakes are hot.

Agreed. Don't waste your time here as we can't diagnose this serious problem for you.

Did you happen to check tire pressures? If they "reset" them low enough it will cause increased rolling resistance

I would have guessed this too, that the dealership may have dropped the tire pressure down to the "recommended" level.

Dropping tire pressure doesn't make it "barely get to it to go past 70 mph."

Or the OP was less than accurate, and meant the car accelerates slower that he is accustomed for a given pedal pressure. His thread title suggests that, to me anyway.

When I got mine back from the dealer after 1000 mile check it ran crappy, low mileage and speeds, it took a few days to correct itself.

Depends on how much you drop the pressure.

    :D

Another thought - The dealer may have disconnected the 12V battery for one reason or another during service. Once reconnected, the car has to "re-learn" via driving habits, etc. This could be the issue here...

To the OP - Were your radio presets lost when you got the car back? Do the window auto up/down functions work properly? These are just two of the things lost once the 12V is disconnected.

I was thinking along the same lines but can't imagine it would make that much difference. When I disconnected by battery I didn't notice much difference, OTOH, I drive about in ECO mode all the time anyway so I probably wouldn't notice much.
