    Hi
I have Prius 2008 few days ago while driving Warning Light and Engine light came up and after some time ac start blowing hot air.
Here in Pakistan Prius is new car and it is imported directly from Japan so we dont have any mechanic of hybrid cars.

Can any one tell me what is the problem and how to solve it.

    Thx

It will be very helpful, for the experts here, if you can use some auto repair shop OBD2 scanner and read the codes (DTC's) that have been set, and post them.

Could be the inverter cooling pump. Mine went out last August in hot weather. First tangible effect (after the warning light) was that the AC compressor would not run.

If it's the pump, I think it was recalled on the 2008, but not the 2009. Mine failed under warranty, so a dealer replaced it at no cost to me.

You'll need to get the code to determine if this is the problem. If it is, the pump is a small unit behind the driver's side (US version) headlight.
