So I just got my 10-11 Prius fog lights in the mail today & I have to say the comparing them to the OEM 2012 fog light it looks to be a match. All 4 mounting tabs are the the same position. The lens look to be of the same shape & same slope. Tomorrow will be the test fitment.

It's confirmed. The gen3 10-11 Prius fog lights fit the gen3 2012 Prius.

The fog lights that I bought were for the Toyota Yaris. Since it was confirmed that these fit the 10-11prius & they were cheap & had the wiring w/ the switch, is give it a try.

Here they are. Adam & I just tried 1 of the & they fit perfectly:

So the fog lights have 4 mounts. The two on the right look like they fit into a pocket, the bottom left looks like theres a screw hole but the top left looks like its just loose is that correct? Thanks for being the guinea pig!! Also what did the grill run you from the dealership?

Yes......2 tabs are in a pocket & 1 bottom tab is held in with a screw leaving 1 floating.

The think thr grill cost about $150. Id have to look for my paperwork to confirm this.

very nice sir! Looking forward to some beam shots. As I will be doing this as well. How will you wire it so it works with the auto headlights? Or will it be manual on/off only?

I am wondering if I should go Amber fogs though...hmm.

I bought a set of Yaris fog lights complete with wiring & the switch. I will wire them to trigger when the parking lights are on & use the switch to either keep them off or on. So if I have the fog switch turned on & I manually turn on the parking lights, the fogs will be on. If the lights are on auto, then they will just turn on with the rest of the lights.

I want them to work independent from the headlights.

Here is the part # for the grill:
    53102-47020

You can use any fog light that fits the gen3 Prius & the Yaris.

Glad to hear that they continue to fit the newer Prius, too. I just removed the halo from mine when I installed those projector beams. For the price, the cutoff isn't terrible, but they are the cheap "chinese" handywork. I wish there was a better projector that could just screw onto those "covers" but I'm not sure there is one. How do you plan to modify the cutoff?

In other good news, that means that the LED Nokya fog light would fit just fine, also.

Are the Halos that bad? Can they be used as DRLs? Is there a separate switch/relay for the halo lights?

The cutoffs on these projectors must be better than the stock OEM fogs with reflector housings though...

The Halo really is a matter of personal preference. I think they look tacky, personally, but others might like them lol. You could use them as DRLs. If you look in his earlier picture, there's a small white wire. That's the power wire for the halo, so you could theoretically wire it into an "always on" power source and they'd come on/off with the car. Or, you could wire up a switch if you really wanted to. In the 2012, though, it comes with DRL so having the halo on also is unnecessary.

I don't think halo belong on a Prius but as it was stated.....its a personal preference. I dint think they ate bright enough to be see in the daylight.

As for the coutoff......there is no cutoff cause light escapes from under the cutoff. I'm looking into placing a thin piece of aluminum to create My own cutoff.

I have a pair of blazer fogs that I've been thinking about but I'm concerned about the over heating issue they have been known for.

It goes in one of the available blank spots to the left of your steering wheel, lower dash, where your dash illumination and power mirror switch is.

Awesome, thanks :). Just placed an order for the grille. I'll probably get the Yaris fog kit because it's cheaper than the Prius kit to start, and then hook up a set of Nokya LED projector kit down the line. Looks like I'll need some spring nuts too to secure the lights onto the tab pockets, if the Yaris fog lights do not come with them. I don't like the idea of the lights being secured by only one screw each.
