Kind of annoying open your door, then hit the unlock button. Is there an option or some hand motion to unlock both doors when you grab the handle?

Nice video but I can't accomplish what it shows by holding all the keys down and releasing them. Can't imagine it's only a feature on a 2010 but I can't do it with my 2011. :(

This was one of my biggest aggravations so far with my 2012. This worked like a charm, Thanks so much!!

On the 2012, just sit in the car (dont press start). Hold all 3 buttons on the remote, and after like 5 seconds, it will show you a picture of the car with all 4 doors open on the MID.

The owner's manual says the dealer can program it.

For kicks, I tried the procedure in the video on my 2011 and it worked just fine.

I think you might be able to do it by only holding down the lock and unlock buttons on the remote.

Well, I've just done it on my 2010 (and boy am I kicking myself for not doing it before).

Sit in the car with the power off.
Hold down Unlock, lock and panic at the same time.
After 5 seconds it'll flash up a picture on the display of the car with all 4 doors open.

Wow, thanks for posting this question! Guess I should have searched the site before. My dealer did not know about this...disappointing. Bought my Prius a YEAR ago. Glad to know this is possible!

Great to know, thanks. For my wife and daughters they always program their doors to open driver only. If your going to your car at the mall or somewhere other than home it's probably safer to keep the other 3 doors locked when your alone.

Sad, but many dealers(salesmen) don't know the basic things they should know about the products(cars) they sell:unsure:.

I would hope at the very minimum they make every salesman read the entire manual of each car they may sell. Pretty unlikely that happens in real life.

cwerdna, or should I say Andrew ;), thanks for the tip. :)

Worked on my Camry SE, though it felt like I had to hold the buttons down for much longer than 5 seconds. Will do my wife's Prius later.

Smart key is so ingenius & convenient that it should be standard on all cars:sneaky: as it's such a chore now to get out my keys to open & start my other cars:p.

    Hi El Dobro,

Well I'm glad it works on your 2011 but it doesn't work on mine. I see the graphic come up that shows all 4 doors open, at that point I let go of both buttons or all 3 ,doesn't seem to matter, and nothing has changed. I have alternately tried to release the UNLOCK button when I see the graphic but that doesn't help either. Or I have tried to release the buttons when the graphic goes out, still no joy. Sorry but I can't seem to make it work. :(

Do all the doors unlock when you hit the unlock button twice?

Yes they do! That part never fails but it'd be nice to have it done when I hit the button once. I have tried again and again doing all sorts of things like holding the buttons in longer, all that does is cycle back to the one door open graphic and then the four doors open and so on. I have also tried it when the power button is lit up but not turned to READY. Again no joy. I am stuck!

Maybe I should try my other set of keys to see it that works?

Give it a shot. I had no problem switching the fob to 4 doors and back to one again.
