Well, we have almost 9k miles on our gold prius II with jbl soundsystem, no navigation.

For some reason the bluetooth just stopped working today. I noticed on the phone that it didn't pair, so I hit the"speak" button and get no response. Just does nothing. All other features work on the head unit except the bluetooth.

Am on vacation in the middle of no where (closest town 45 minutes away and no toyota dealer within 1 1/2 hours) and owners manual is no help.

I have the same trouble with my bluetooth and cell phone. The excuse everyone at Toyota uses is that my cell phone isn't compatible. Because it sometimes connects just fine, and sometimes it doesn't I figured out that I can always reconnect by powering down my cell phone and resynching. Sometimes I even have to delete the phone from the car side of the system as well.

One caution: I had an even bigger issue with the nav system and radio. So, keep an eye on things; videotape the problem when it happens! Toyota replaced the entire computer system (navigation; bluetooth; stereo) because I showed them a videotape taken on my phone showing them: MY NAVIGATION SYSTEM CHANGING THE RADIO STATIONS and THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM NOT BEING ABLE TO FIND IT'S WAY HOME!

So..........if your phone is very new, then I would challenge the standard statement "phone is not compatible with system". Bring it in and make them troubleshoot it.........Look for "tickets" that Toyota assigns for trouble shooting. Ask them to make a ticket too! Only way users are going to get the improvements/repairs we need. I am having a hard time staying with Toyota because of their third party products......crappy stereo/sat. radio; crappy dvd based nav system/and marginal bluetooth ability.

Thanks. Think I should have been a little clearer. I just have the 6 disc jbl and not the navigation unit, and for some reason I can not initiate the bluetooth system at all. I can not even enter the setup. It is like the bluetooth died and is non existent. Both phones we have with us have been paired to the system for over 3 months. So the phones work with the system, but the system does not work.

Well, so far today, no problems. A bit frustrating and confusing but i'm happy it works again.

TAKE YOUR CAR TO TOYOTA DEALER AND SHOW THEM.....THEN TELL THEM TO MAKE IT WORK. It might be a computer malfunction, fuse, or Bluetooth just pooped the bed!

Toyota really has to put more support in the hands of their stores and authorized repair facilities.....

    Keep us updated!
