    I appreciate the comments/concerns, folks.

Basically it's a waiting game at this point. I was contacted by the claims people, and they essentially said that I'd hear from the shop once the work is done. The biggest pain continues to be not having a car for the duration. As I mentioned earlier, I borrowed my dad's motorcycle, which was nice of him, but hasn't been the greatest fit. I didn't really consider how noisy and cold-blooded it would be in the morning, and I think I woke up my entire apartment complex today at 7:45, when I was trying to leave the parking lot.

A friend of mine has offered to borrow me his Hyundai Sonata for the duration, so I'm trying to figure out a way to pick that up. I've never really been in a serious accident before, and as a single guy, I can confirm that it is a royal pain in the nice person being without a vehicle. It's $50 a day to rent a car and it's not covered by insurance. That would add up in a hurry if it takes them a couple weeks to finish my car.

I'm sure everything will turn out fine and in a couple weeks it'll be back to smooth sailing.

You were pretty adamant that his insurance company wouldn't pay for OEM parts, so I thought it worth checking.

    Hey folks,

Finally got the prius back from the body shop. Had to bring it back for one more piece on back order but now she is finally done and back in action. I was a little nervous, having never really been through this situation, but they did a beautiful job, and it looks as good as new! What a relief. It's great to have it back. Here are a few pics.
