Which Wheels/tires will improve MPG above OEM?

I see the original poster is a newer member. Has everyone made sure to take in account breaking in period? the prius has a break in period of about 15 to 20 thousand miles. When you finally start to get around these higher miles, you'll recognize a jump in your mpg. Mine was about 8 miles per gallon. I was able to get in the 50's. Pretty good for driving in really rushed situations ( S.F. Bay Area traffic )

most people report a mpg around 40 to 45 when a prius is new. If you know how to bleed out the mileage, you can get higher though.

 

Sombody posted this spreadsheet on another thread at the end of September and I believe the thread was lost. I can't remember who compiled it but I hope whoever did will come forward and take credit for it.

From the spreadsheet I always thought the Kumho Touring A/S 795 tire would be the best and they're inexpensive to. I think you can only inflate them to 34 psig.

 

I'm getting around 45-50 mpg in my new Prius, and i drive it like it's stolen too. Doesn't need long to get good milage.
