There was nothing wrong with it. I liked it so much that I traded in my '05 Honda Civic (0ur other car) in for another 2006 Prius. Now I have a 2012 Prius III and I love it.

Sorry it took so long to write back. Been a while since I've logged in. The mpg was 49.3 when I got my 500+

Good one. I'll just baby step it on to 600 then will take that giant leap for 800. :barefoot:

How did you get 500 miles in a GenII with only 49mpg? Did you just run it way down on the flashing PIP? :p

Yes I sure did. I was determined that I was going to reach 500 miles one way or another. Probably was running on fumes.

I've just recently hit 600 miles from a tank in my 07 Gen2. It's the UK model so doesn't have a bladder, and it took 43.9 litres to fill ( a 45 litre tank ).

It's been my goal for a while now.. my next goal is to try and repeat it.

I finally, after 3 years, hit 600 miles on a tank. Most of the time it's between 540-580 (average of 550 for the last 25 tanks), but circumstances prevented me from getting to my normal station on the 600 mile run. That one was at 10.385 gallons filled and 58.5 MPG. I typically fill when it's at 10-12% on the scangauge.

Well, I've been from one end of the country to the other the last couple of weeks. On Thursday night, I filled up near home, and went to John O'Groats (the far north east of the UK Mainland) - 519 miles, then did some running about, before filling the car up with 42L of fuel, at 605 miles on the clock :). Then, I've done some more running around up there, and returned back home. Refuelling along the way.. 43L of fuel with 635 miles on the clock :) I found while "running around" up there, the more relaxed pace of life ( plus the fact I was travelling overnight in rural areas ) meant that I could run around at 40mph with the cruise on.. This made a really big impact with my screen showing an average of 78mpg (imperial - 1G=4.54L ) over 200 miles :-o

Pre-E10 gas I would regularly get 550+ tanks in my 06, but after E-10 I averaged 480 summer mileage/per tank in DFW. When I can get ethanol gas near lakes my mileage is 10-15% better.

Ecopia 422. I'm not sure they come in the size you have.
