I just did mine...no problems at all...it reset all my nav settings....so maybe they updated the nav software and fixed some bugs...going on a small trip later today, I will try the nav and see if anything has changed...stay tuned
I haven't even gotten the email yet. I have two cars with entune. Can one of you send me the contents of the flash drive?
You should of got the email. Maybe check your junk mail? But the email says it will be a few weeks before everyone gets the drives
I didn't. :/ if you upload the contents of the flash drive I'm sure quite a few people would appreciate it. Especially the folks in Canada
It was pretty easy took me 5 minutes I put my car in EV mode while doing it lol. I didn't want to use any gas
I never even saw the email, but I checked the mail and had the flash drive! I updated my Prius c from 1.7.4 to 2.1.0 and got the new apps. The i heart radio app worked well (with iphone wired of course). I tried the opentable and movie tickets apps also. While I don't see a huge need for any of these with a smartphone, the i heart radio was convenient so I may use that sometimes. What else... from initial testing this update seemed to really improve bluetooth audio with my iphone. I had problems where I had to wait up to 30 seconds for the bluetooth to connect and play, but now it's only a few seconds. Still not as fast as my Prius v with display audio, but much better. Also switching between bluetooth and the dock connector worked flawlessly. Time will tell but I see this seems to be a minor update with some useful improvements. The manual said this update will also allow for future updates over the air. For those who can't wait, I uploaded the two files that came on the USB stick here. Just unzip to a blank USB and you should be able to update. Download ENTUNE.zip from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way And finally a picture of the USB stick. It glows red when plugged in. 2GB storage space, Toyota says to keep it around for future updates (downloadable?).
I was hoping someone would upload this. FWIW, I didn't need to format my USB drive to update. Entune Account Registration and Management
Thank you for posting the download, so glad I got to play with it on my day off. And even more glad that Toyota fixed Pandora's "high quality" setting to actually work. Now it sounds great!
Thanks for the file upload but a word of caution about that site. If you click the big blue button with the little check box checked: Download with sendspace accelerator and get recommendation offers. It will download spyware on your computer. A 275K file will be downloaded that Malwarebytes identifies as "Affiliate.Downloader". If you click this, it will install. Make sure you get the 266 MB Entune.zip file. Not the 275K entune.zip.exe!
Thats one of the reasons why I didn't want to upload it to a website if someone where to get infected with some type of virus or malware spyware I didn't want to be the one responsible lol.
I appreciate the upload by the way. I have upgraded my Entune successfully and still have not gotten my USB drive in the mail.
Still waiting for my USB stick, but I downloaded the files to check what's included. The main file is swdl.iso, a standard format disc image file. I extracted the contents with WinRAR and found a bunch of program files, data files, and install scripts. Some of the install scripts are in the LUA programming language, other in Unix/Linux shell script format. The overall structure looks like a Linux filesystem, so perhaps the nav system is running an embedded Linux. Browsing a few of the text files, I found a link to the INRIX traffic data site and references to Harman, who supply the Entune system to Toyota. My programming skills lie in other areas, but it seems likely that someone who knew what they were doing could hack the nav system software to do things like override the speed lockout, and probably other functions.
I am waiting for some skilled programmer to creatively edit the firware update I peeked around in it too but my programming skills are rudimentary at best. ATTENTION ALL HACKERS!
Gang, obviously the Entune USB update was not intended for hacking. Toyota does not recommend you tweak any of the files as there are serious risks to voiding your warranty as well as vehicle performance. You never know what you might end up changing when you alter one file. Please use the update for its intended purposes only. Thanks, Erica GartsbeynPrius Product ManagerToyota USA
The auto programming worked very well and I'm happy with the event. Now I have more apps that I do not want to use. Is it there a way of avoiding showing some of them?
