Summer Rain Metallic

What dealer are you going through? I went through Karl Malone in Draper and they can help you find one in another color if you like. There's at least one shipment coming over that they are getting cars from later this month (my Summer Rain will be on it) I would ask because if you're not entirely keen on one color- most dealers can find you your preferred color.

 

I saw an Absolutely Red in person at a Toyota lot in southern Illinois last week and it was quite nice. Humm, the GF doesn't like white, huh...

I guess Black Sand, Magnetic Gray or Blue Streak are "manly" colors. Personally, those choices would be a real drag to keep clean, since I travel a lot of country roads. Habanero, imo, seems to be a cool and different color, but I haven't seen it in person...

Every time I travel to a different town/city, I cruise the Toyota lots looking for Prius c's. I want to see them in the different colors besides mine (which I really like plus doesn't show dirt, btw), but haven't had much luck finding any others.

Good luck on your color choice challenge. As long as you're not a Ricky Road Racer, you're gonna love the c when you get one.

South Central-I do the same thing when I go to another town just to see what the other colors look like-
Mremaximus- I think the Moonglow is kind of a cool color.. I personally never wanted a white car but if I got one, Moonglow would be it. It is really neat how it shimmers the green color in the light. I have the Summer Rain and I don't think it is girly at all. It is blue- I don't think it is a baby blue either.. more of an Aqua Blue and in some light it has a blue green tint. It looks like a different color in different places and I like that.

hehe, it's nice to know I'm not alone in my quest. Seems like a salesperson always steps out as I'm cruising them...are they checking out my Summer Rain because it is such a good lookin' color? Do they wish I'd trade it in so they would have the elusive "c" on their car lot? I just wave and buzz off on my way.​

I would love to see Moonglow in person. So many on this forum have described it as you have BGGirl, and it sounds so interesting! I've had white automobiles in the past and white hides the "dirt" very well, too.

I still think it is strange how Toyota apparently "doles" out certain colors to certain areas as if Midwesterners would drive more of a certain color car than West Coast people or that Southerners won't drive the same colors as someone from Seattle. The dealerships around here have gotten nothing but Moonglow it seems like and the only reason that they know what Summer Rain looks like is because my special order! I have only seen (other than mine) Moonglow, Habanero, and Magnetic Grey. Apparently that is what they decided that we would drive around here. I have been at the dealerships in Nashville, Louisville, Evansville, and Indianapolis as well with the same results. I would love to see a Blue Streak or a Red in person.

 

I love my SRM and think it's a fantastic color. My husband jokes that he thinks it's girly but he's a '67 Mustang-driving-jock-kind-of-guy. He still drives it without me in it regardless of the jokes.

 

I put my order in last Monday after test driving a classic silver three. My dealership doesn't order directly from the manufacturer, but I was told that they have an absolutely red three coming in that meets my specs (moonroof & alloy wheels) that they will be looking to find another dealer to trade off for my Summer Rain. My's current vehicle is on deaths door and only makes it short distances, so it can't come soon enough. Finding a Summer Rain in NJ seems to be impossible. After doing some online inventory searches, moon glow, classic silver and the magnetic grey seem to be whats around here. LOL, when I told the dealer I wanted summer rain metallic, he asked me if it was a real color and if I was sure. I had to show him a pic off my phone to prove it.

 

Come on up to Louisville - we have Absolutely Red and Habanero.

 

I have actually driven through the lot at Oxmoor and they didn't have any C's at all when I was up there for training. They must have sold them all! LOL We had a Habanero here at the dealership in BG for a while but it got traded for another color because someone wanted the Habanero at another dealership.
