The Camry Hybrid has an option for Blind Spot Monitoring where an image is displayed on the side mirrors. I don't believe that any of the v models have that option. Is it possible to add that feature in the after-market?

    Yes. It's called E.Y.E.S
Adjust the mirrors correctly, and use them.

That's right! While driving, adjust the side mirrors such that when the nose of a car behind & next to you disappears in the rear-view mirror, it appears in the side view mirror. When set correctly, the the car will then appear in your peripheral vision when it leaves the side mirror. The result: no blind spots! I have no idea why people turn their side mirrors to see their door handles. You're just overlapping the view your rear-view mirror already sees!

Well said. I've posted this in another thread. We were not taught in driver's ed how to correctly set our side mirrors, and old habits are hard to change.

This is an aftermarket blind spot warning system installed on a regular prius. Thinking of installing one. The materials can cost $200-300. DIY to save a ton on labor.
