Viper SmartStart

    Anyone know if u can get this installed on a Prius Gen III?

    I've read you cant, but then I also noticed you can get remote start from Toyota, so it must be possible some how....

    Yes it can be done and it works perfect. There are many posts on this. I had my unit installed in 20120. Go here.

    I had best buy install it, and the remote start works. The only negative is the viper system does not work well with the proximity sensor when unlocking the door. You have to disarm the viper separately when unlocking the door. Defeats the purpose of leaving the keys in the pocket. Also, the car shuts down when entering the car too.
