I currently own a soft bag for a roof top that I used on my last vehicle. I would like to use it on my 2012 Prius V with the double moonroof, but either need a basket with rubber feet or perhaps just rubber clamps that fit the car so I can thread the straps of the bag roof top carrier through them. It seems that purchasing the very expensive roof racks that fit this vehicle will not hold this bag which I already own. I did find one basket that may work. Does anyone have any suggestions of an inexpensive fix that will not damage the roof? Thank you!

I personally don't know of a solution to your problem since you are looking for an inexpensive solution. I have a Yakima rack system (used on a previous car; I don't yet have the tower clamps for my Prius v) and I bought the basket that suspends between the two bars that attach to four tower clamps. It would do the job for you. However, I've read that some people claim the Yakima tower clamps scratch the paint on the roof of the car and some of the metal parts corrode if you leave the system on your car for a significant period of time. I don't know if that's true, but there are other systems similar to Yakima that you could consider. I believe there are also some rack systems that can be permanently mounted to the roof of the car (requires drilling, etc.). None of those systems are inexpensive, though. Keep in mind that you will seriously impact the car's gas mileage if you mount anything sizable on top of the car.
