Twas the Day Before Pickup

    Twas the day before pickup
    And all through the House
    I was twiching in anticipation
    And eating pork souse

    My accessessories were stacked
    By the front door with care
    To instantly install
    When at the Prius we were there

    My daughter shipped off
    To daycare that day
    Insured for eight hours
    That I could then play

    ...

    T Minus 18 hours and counting till my 12 noon pickup!

    and all through the dealer
    was scurry of Prius
    did we forget the sealer?

    Once the customer arrives
    the dealer sighs
    The checks keep on coming
    and without a dive

    The dealer did well
    for all Prii needed attention
    they hope for spell
    no more tax credits
    at least until next lenton (ok I made that last word up)

    (I never said I was a poet but thought I would give it a try)

    Quite good... I am also glad to see I am not the only one who feels like I am a Kid waiting for Christmas morning... although my day is still a bit off. <sigh>

    When arose from the dealer
    A horrible clatter.
    Was it the Prius or a hummer?
    Thank God it's the latter.

    So I drove to the dealer
    with pick-up sheet in hand.
    He tried to sell the extended warranty
    It was all I could stand.

    So I jumped to my feet
    and said "I'll have none of that!
    I know exactly what I'm doing;
    I read it all on Priuschat."

    I've already had to take a sleeping pill and a hefty pour of bourbon to help me get ready for some sleep! I'm so damn hyped about getting it tomorrow, finally! :)

    We'll be finishing off the Grey Goose just to get some sleep tonight. Our salesman is expecting us at 9:00. Of course, there's the checklists to go over. Fortunately, financing is already approved. Then it's off to the in-laws. :)

    Dealership opens at 9am, but they wanted a few hours to get it prepped and the exterior cleaned since it's basically been sitting outside for the past few weeks. I wanna try to get it by 11am, though.
