I tried searching for the answer but I couldn't find anything. I hope I am not repeating something.

I can't seem to get my iPhone 4 to connect to my entunes (2012 pruis III) via bluetooth. I recently started listening to my music using a memory stick inserted in the usb port. I used to connect to entunes using an usb cord and it worked (not sure if that makes a difference but just giving all info) When I try to press an entunes app on the screen I get a message saying I am not connected. Then I go to my iPhone 4 and try to connect. I can see I am logged in on my phone but when I go to the tools screen I see 2 boxes. One to sign out (that is how I know for sure I am logged on) and the other is greyed out that says connect to vehicle. But since it is greyed out nothing happens when I press it. I have tried to restart my phone and sign out and sign back in and that still does not help. I do have my bluetooth turned on my phone and I am able to make and receive calls, so it isn't that. I did the upgrade the other day. This will be the first time I tied to connect since the upgrade.

Sounds exactly what I am finding after the so called upgrade. I hope they know the upgrade was a down grade in reality and get us a fix soon.

If I understand correctly, you stated that you are trying to connect using entune via Bluetooth with your iPhone. Unless the upgrade specifically addressed this issue, entune will only work when connected via USB cable. I haven't rec'd the upgrade yet, but I was hoping that this would have been fixed. I have the Prius C, so this info may not apply to your situation.

Entune used to work with my iPhone 4 ISO 5.0.1 connected with my cable and without my cable. After the update it would work sometimes either with or without my cable :( I am heading over to that other thread for the fix.

I just called entunes. I was told that I could not use entunes using bluetooth only on my iPhone. They of course blamed it on Apple. They said the only way to be able to access entunes using my iPhone is via the usb connection. So I have to pick between listening to my music on my memory stick in the usb or entunes I can't have both.... Is that true????

Well I tried plugging my iPhone in and it still refused to connect. So I deleted my phone in the Nav/Audio system and also my car's bluetooth profile in my phone. Started over, pairing them together. Tried without plugging into the USB port and it will not connect. Tried plugged in and had to reboot my phone to make it work. So all seems fine right? NOT. I selected USB/Aux to listen to something else on my phone (iPod) and then went back to Apps to select Pandora again. Guess what, the damn car refuses to communicate with my phone once again.

This so called Entune update was a joke. I used to be able to connect to my car plugged in or not and always could go back & forth from USB/Aux iPod music and Pandora but not now. This is the 7.1 Nav/Audio system in my car if that makes any difference.

I gave up testing out of frustration. Maybe there will be an update before the next time I sit in my car or drive it.

Mike, I don't think you could ever play Pandora (Entunes) through BT. You could however play Pandora through BT as the Pandora app on you iPhone. Apple's BT profile is restrictive and so in this case I agree that this one is on Apple rather than Toyota.

I am however frustrated with the rigmarole of stopping wifi, rebooting phone, starting Entune on phone, connecting USB cable and then starting car. And then if you blink wrong all communication ceases.

Same here Steve. It worked with bugs before the update, but now it is total bullshit. I was running Pandora on my phone as you mentioned. Next month I am buying a Samsung Galaxy Note and will see if that works better with bluetooth. Our son runs a 3GS 8 meg iPhone and really needs something better so I am giving him my iPhone 4 32 gig once I get my new phone. That should last him a while before he fills it up with stuff :)

I dont see that anyone asked you if you have the standard JBL or the HDD upgrade. I have a Camry hybrid with the HDD upgrade. After doing a soft reset on my iphone 4s I now connect perfectly via blue tooth (fingers crossed that it lasts!) So if you have the HDD radio, only use blue tooth and try a soft reset.

Soft reset is the same as a Respring I believe. Can anyone verify that please? Seems the bugs are the same in the 6.1 & 7.1 systems. Funny thing I paired my iPhone with the rental RAV4 I picked up this evening and Pandora plays 100% perfect via bluetooth with NO cable needed. Imagine that [IMG]

Oh well, hope someone can figure out a work around or Toyota is fast workin on a update :)

Have a nice weekend everyone, I am off to Florida on a pickin adventure.

Mike, only two fuelups? You've had your car about same length of time as me, don't you drive it?

:) Nope. I noticed today it has 600 something miles on it. It got one full tank and 3 gallons I believe before that. A good example why it sits is I will be gone for the rest of this month traveling in a rental so my baby is sitting quietly in our garage waiting for me to come home [IMG]

Standard nav = you have to use USB to use entune. I don't think the current versions of both iPhone and the car support bluetooth with standard nav

sheesh, same time but I now have 4250 on it, and I work from home. Look for reasons to drive it.

I try to find reasons but being so busy at home with the eBay sales keeps me away :( Good thing about the sales is I have not spent a dime out of my pocket for my car, eBay has covered the payments so far :) By the time I get done traveling this year it will be time to park my car until spring. That'll give Toyota plenty of time to come out with a Entunes fix so the next time I take my car for a spin, the bluetooth might actually work ;)

Well admittedly, I don't live in Minnesota, but winter won't keep me out of the Prius.
