Has anyone gotten one of those really cheap ad car prices? I have a month of time off before I start my next job, so I can basically visit dealerships at anytime to try to get these prices.

None of the dealers are wanting to give me under 22k so far, so I am holding out. I am in the So Cal area. Most dealers are offering 22,995.

No luck with under 24k out the door on a Prius II in So Cal. Guess I need to keep trying.

Best prices on Prius 2 I have been able to find in the midwest/east so far are ~$23.5K not including TTL. Wish I could get closer to the $21-$22.8 prices you are seeing:(

    Beware the following advertised deals:
-Koons Toyota (Washington DC area) - Blizzard Pearl advertised for $22,030 but doesn't include $760 destination and $499 processing fee
-Oxmoor Toyota (Louisville, KY) - Blizzard Pearl advertised for $22,531 but is after Military discount and doesn't include $772 processing fee

23.5 including TTL? That sounds like just about as good of a deal that anyone else has gotten. Those 21 deals are usually before TTL unless I am mistaken.

Sorry the price is without TTL (wouldn't be complaining otherwise). I edited my post.

I'm just beginning researching the Prius III Model 3 or 4. The first thing I'm curious about is it worth it to purchase an extended warranty on the Prius and why if you recommended doing so? Also what are the price points for the warranty as I know Toyo will try to jack up the pricing over MSRP. They tried it when my wife purchased her 2009 Corolla but I came armed with pricing directly from Toyo's website.

Bought a Prius Two today with no add ons. Paid 24,288 out the door including all fees. Before TTL, it was 21,988.

So Cal, bought it in Culver City.

I know some people reported getting as low as 20,999, but I wasn't able to negotiate that low with any dealer. Had one dealer offer 20,388, but the catch was that part of the discount was a 1500 trade-in discount. So what they did was then lowball the trade-in by a ton to make up for the loss. That dealer offered 9,000 for my trade in, which Carmax offered 13,000.

Purchased a 2012 Prius IV here in So Cal today with the classic silver + dark grey interior for $30,525 (Before taxes), includes deluxe solar roof package, carpet & cargo mats, cargo net, illuminated sills, door edge guards, and destination charge... almost $3k beneath MSRP ($33,477) and $300+ under invoice ($30,868). And 0% for 36 months.

    found it: Toyota Financial Services

So question off this one is how much of discount off MSRP are dealings giving for these contracts. I know they are huge money makers so where is a good starting point to negotiate?

Haven't purchased it yet, but can get it for that price from either Acton Toyota (they have an online site) or Toyota of Greenfield (Troy posts on here).

Both of these are legitimate Toyota dealerships. They sell these warranties at a low profit margin, but are banking on high volume, and am sure they get bonuses from corporate for this high volume.
