I picked up my c3 at the end of April. I currently have around 3500 miles on it with a combination of city/highway driving. I am very happy with the handling, ride and mileage. Without trying I am averaging 51-55 in combined driving and in just around town driving about 62. Most of this has been using A/C as it has been a pretty warm summer although I'm sure venting the hot air out using the moon roof helps with that. In comparing the ride to my previous car , an 04 Prius, I can't say I notice much of a difference except that the c's seats seem more comfortable and the handling is more responsive. I have no complaints about acceleration having owned other small cars. Not sure why the critics hate this car so much, but in real world driving I think they are wrong.

If you've had your c a few months or more-please weigh in on how you like it so far.

Took delivery April 30th. I'm amazed at how much I like the car.:D I seem to like it more with each passing day. 4400 miles plus - should hit 5000 by early September. Everyday driving still puts a smile on my face.:) As for handling and acceleration - our Fit Sport AT seems quicker - more noise and stuff - but watching the speedometer on the C tells a different story. The C accelerates as well and is actually smoother - at least my wife (the Fit driver) says so - and she loves her Fit. The Fit handles more crisply but the C is more stable.

My last 3 vehicles have been a '88 Ranger, '01 Prizm and '97 Prizm. The C rides and handles better than my older cars. I still drive the '97 dog mobile and it's kinda uncomfortable.

I test drove a regular Prius (hatchback - silly terminology) sedan before the Cs came in and liked it. Drove the C when they first arrived in February - I was absolutely sold on the C and ordered one that day. I had to order because by the end of the first day in February they had sold all but two or three cars - heck when I got there in the mid a.m. they only had about 5 or 6 left and not one Summer Rain. Ran a short errand and went back to buy a Moonglow or Gray - all gone.

    YMMV

I am at the 5 month point, with around 3200 miles on the c, and I am really happy with the car. I don't have expectations of voluminous space or jet-like acceleration. I don't have a bad back or hemorrhoids, so the ride doesn't seem too bumpy. If I drive the car in classic Los Angeles mode, I get 48 or 49 miles to the gallon. (LA mode consists of getting past whatever obstacle is in your way and then punching the accelerator to reach the next obstacle as quickly as possible, repeat until you reach destination.)

Lately I have been starting forward slowly off of stops and braking gradually. I have inflated my tires to 42 psi all around, and have started observing the speed limit. Those exaggeratedly slow drivers I used to get annoyed at are now my best friends, providing cover for me as I pull in behind them and accelerate slowly and brake gradually and cruise using battery power. I am now at 55 mpg but anticipate getting 60 or more mpg son, when I stop taking vacation or visitation freeway trips and go back to just commuting 20 miles a day across town.

The stress level of driving has dropped remarkably with these changes.

The car has been a great experience for me, but I still think that after a couple of years, when it is fully paid for, I will trade it in for a Volt. Even if I do this I think I will still appreciate what the little c brought to the table. My only regrets are wimpy horn, no backup camera, and no (as of now) established roof rack system.

I've had mine two months, I have about 3200 miles on it. I still love mine too! I think it accelerates just fine--it kills my gas mileage when I do it but if I punch it it's got some pickup!

I even went on a roadtrip and was pleasantly surprised at how much I fit in the car, which was my one concern. I have a 10 day road trip starting next weekend so that will be my big test on whether there will ever be space issues...

LOL, Not a real owner for sure. I had to laugh at the "wimpy" horn. The first time I tooted mine I thought I was in my 66 vdub. I too think they could have put a different horn under there. But, it is plenty loud.
2 weeks, 460 miles, and cruizing our town of 8,000 using virtually no gasoline, I still say life if good in a Prius C.
Road trip to Detroit coming up. I am anxious to see how it does. In the Vibe I try to get 30 mpg plus on the ScanGauge. Now, I am trying to average 50 mpg plus. Quite a difference.

I love the Car!! It is my first Hybrid. Had mine for almost 5 months, just hit 7500 miles..averageing 55 MPG with 60/40 highway/city split. Going from 10 years of owning various Infiniti's, I have not looked back once!

    Pros:

1.) Better than EPA fuel economy City and Highway
2.) For me at least....very comfortable driving car...even on 7 hour highway trip...
3.) I like the entune system...it does work well if you understand how to use it.
4.) With addition of the Scangauge II, I love hypermiling to get the best mileage possible
5.) People amazed that the car can drive on a battery...
6.) Able to add Backup Camera!!
7.) Air Conditioning is very good!
8.) I love the Hybrid technology!
    9.) Loved the C so much that I bought a V too!
10.) I am a much better driver now.
    11.) Toyota Care

    Cons:

1.) Somewhat rough ride on streets that are in poor shape.
2.) Only 9.5 gallon gas tank....12 gallons with a 660 mile range would have been cool...
3.) Being made fun of at work for owning a hybrid....I think I have the only one in the parking lot.
4.) Tires are noisy and don't corner well
5.) No Homelink/Auto Dimming mirror - (I will be adding that)

Bought mine mid-April and have now exactly 9700 miles and getting ready to take it in for the free service and get the oil changed for the first time. The car is definitely feeling better the more you drive it and is actually much more comfortable now that it is fully broken in.

Had the 10,000 mile service done on Saturday, 08/11. Picked up our C2 the first week of May. We took a 2800 mile trip to Texas and back last month, but we drive a lot anyway!

We love this car! I had an '05 Corrolla with 285,000 miles on it, so we were used to a small car. There is plenty of room for our packing on trips. The car performs more than adequately over the mountains and through the dales! We set the cruise around 65 and she maintains that speed within 1 mph up and down every grade. The mileage on the trips we have taken still average over 50. This is our first hybrid and we were looking at the Ford Fusion hybrid before seeing the C.

We are averaging 50 to 52 mpg overall since we picked up the car. Some trips are more, some are less, but the overall tank averages are 50-52.

The ride is actually better than my corrolla was, with the exception of driving over "harsh" road conditions. Luckily, most of the roads here in Vegas are not too "harsh"! :)

    Thanks for the comments, all.
We pick ours up tomorrow. We Have a 2010 Prius with 36K on it that my wife (the leadfoot) drives, so it only gets 44mpg. Looking forward to driving the C and seeing what kind of MPG I can get...

I bought my C II in July, and I have 2400 miles on it already. It's an amazing car, averaging 55mpg and I can do better. I hope they release more accessories for it.
