I got a Groupon email the other day. 50% off for 5 window tint. Called the shop if it would be more for a Prius C. He said no additional charge. So, I scheduled the tinting for $169. I will post pictures after it is done.

Mine is going in tomorrow for tint. 200 bux. I am afraid to have the 20 dollar strip on the windshield. Not sure what it might look like. Have used this shop on my other vehicles and he does a great job.

Tint for me costed $238 - was quoted $200 for the tint + $30 for the strip on the windshield. And since I paid by credit card, was dinged an extra 3% :p

Dang, my dealership charged me 3-400 for the tinting. It was "included" in the overall price, but had I known it could be done for so much less than that I might have waived that option.

There was one locally, and I decided not to do it, and now I'm wishing I had. Hopefully they'll do another...

Just did mine yesterday for $140 +tax. All windows but front windshield. Took about 2 hours. That's with a 5 year warr. For a life time warr. they said $230. I got a quote from a mobil tint person and they said $190 with lifetime warr. So, there's a good range of prices.

Hi Guys, I am going to get tint too. One quote I got was $352 for Formula One Pinnacle ceramic tint. I got another quote, well actually three others, $150 Madico Charcool, $200 3M Color Stable, $500 3M Crystalline. From what I have read, the 3M Crystalline is by far the best, because it is much more clear than the other ones but have the protective properties of a colored film so they can add more layers to provide more protection but still allow light in to comply with tinting laws. The installer is the same for the Charcool, Color Stable and Crystalline and he said the Charcool is just as good as Color Stable if not better but he is just having a sale on the Charcool. Based on what I have been finding on the specs, I am not sure if it is correct or not but, Charcool and Color Stable have 40% TSER, Pinnacle has 54% TSER and Crystalline has 60% TSER at the equivalent VLT%.
Here are the links to the data:
Madico Specifications | Madico Window Films & Specialty Films
    Product Code CH.

Product Code CS for Color Stable and CR for Crystalline.

Anyone have any thoughts if it is worth getting either the Pinnacle or the Crystalline or if I should just take the Charcool?

I just paid $239 yesterday for Sun-Tek Carbon XP. 5% around the back and 35% on the front. I live in the Phoenix area so TSER was also important to me. 59% STER in the back and 53% TSER in the front should really help keep the temperature down in my car in the summer as long as I put my windshield cover in while parked.

For those of you getting cheap tint, be aware of of you're getting and remember the saying "you get what you pay for". When getting a quote I always ask what brand and what level of tint it's for. There was a really cheap Groupon deal here this week my wife forwarded me, but the film they were using was garbage.

I got SunTek CXP too, it turns out the place I went originally to get Charcool had Wincos so I was going to take the step up but the guy said the CXP was on sale and the TSER was better than Wincos so I jumped on that. IT is amazing how much cooler the car is after being parked in the sun!
