Spent $20.00 for the Sd card adapter, GPS is working now!. Still playing with all the function of it. One thing I can not figure out what to do is the time from the GPS is always wrong, how can I adjust it?

$20 for an adapter ??? that;s way too overpriced, at most $1 for it.

But i'm glad to hear you got the gps working.

I imagine he meant a reader, still pretty overpriced! Are you talking about the clock on the main menu display, because that apparently isn't programmed for DST. Find a time zone that matches, in my case I used Canada Atlantic time for east coast, is there a Canada Pacific time zone you can use?

Do you mean the clock on the unit itself or the GPS time? If its the clock itself then its a known problem. The software doesn't recognize daylight savings. Just pick a timezone that is either a head or behind (forgot which one it was) and you'll be fine.

I agree that the SD card reader for $20 bucks is high as well. Should be able to get those pretty cheap at Fry's or MicroCenter. I think they run no more than $10 at a local Bestbuy and that's pretty high already.

Here is my dumb question? I dont know where to edit this information into the sys.txt file I don't see the com port, bandiate or NMEA info. Here's what I have in the sys.txt now my nav version is iGo8. The sys.txt is found on the iGo8 main folder on the SD card. I'm I missing something?
    Thanks for any Help!

I figured this out thanks for any one that had any input to this.
Now I noticed when streaming music using the A2DP feature or connecting my Turn off signatures in Tapatalk the iPod cable the volume is very low and I have to turn the volume all the way to maximum to hear the music but when your phone rings through the Bluetooth it's too loud anyone else experience this?

Okay got my Ottonavi unit, I installed everything in my JBL 2010 Prius 3. Works great software is good. My problem is the back cam I installed works but only if I select ccd on the remote and put it in reverse. Everything is wired in right but the system does not automatically go to my back up camera when I'm in reverse. I have to use the remote, hit the ccd button and then put it in reverse. That is the only way I can see my camera. Anyone know why this might be?

Yes make sure to connect the Blue wire to either the reverse light or wire that gives you +12VDC when the car is in reverse this will trigger the unit to switch to the rear cam mode.

I hooked up the blue wire (Labeled "Reverse") to the Yellow 12V Battery Wire in the back of the unit and it locks me into the CCD screen, when Im in reverse the camera shows up but I cant get out of the CCD screen at all. Whether im in park, reverse, drive, etc... If I put the blue wire on the orange 12V CCD wire once i manually put myself into CCD with the remote and put it in reverse the camera shows up and it locks me into the CCD screen no matter what I try to do. No matter which of the 2 I put together I can not power the unit off when they are connected.

Read post 67 also see picture 20 and 21 you need to connect the Blue (Reverse) wire to the reverse lights or to PIN 29 this wire will give power when you put the car into reverse this will automatically trigger the unit to the rear view camera mode or CCD.

    We are havin' fun now!!!

Bought the Ottonavi HU last month and just now getting around to the installation. Believing that the HU will be the easiest part, I have begun with the camera installation. I missed the "free camera" promotion by days so I ordered the Camry camera. That is what the package says as well......o_O
The included power wire isn't long enough to route beyond the hatch. (doesn't even reach the flexible tube to the main body of the car) Not a problem. I have tools and skills to accomplish the wiring. Spliced on additional two conductor cable long enough to reach the left rear tail-light.(y)
With that under my belt, I began routing the video cable toward the dash via the door sills. It reaches to the steering column but not long enough to reach the new HU.......

Off to town to find an RCA adapter and additional cabling........

    More later......

    Finished and all is good.(y)

Picked up an RCA coupling and 3' cord to reach the HU and all is working.

The only Oops was a failure to remove the "shipping screws" from the HU for the disc player. Oddly enough, I removed the upper glove box to check on the Auto Headlight wiring and really enjoyed the room around the HU for installation. When I pulled the HU to remove the "shipping screws", the upper glove box had already been reinstalled and it sure made it difficult to retrieve the HU mounting bolts.

GPS hooked up right out of the box. All local stations (AM and FM) come in clearly.:)

For the record, I placed the GPS antenna on the flat metal bracket toward the back of the HU on the left side. It is working great. Now, to get used to the GPS software. (It is NOT Garmin) ;)

Harder still will be getting my Wife used to the new toy. After all, it is Her car.........

Many Thanks for all who have contributed to this thread!!!!!

Good to hear it went well, donroger! Since the camera is made for the Camry I imagine the hatch on the Prius eats up a couple extra feet of the provided cabling! I went the wireless route so that wasn't an issue for me. I just wish a third of the display wasn't dominated by the bumper, but still it shows much more of what's behind you than the mirror!

Actually, the downward view is a great compliment to the rearview mirror. You can check your bumper for coffee cups and look for bugs on the ground behind you!!!

One Caution though, I noticed small tender slices on my fingertips after finishing. I suspect that after prying up the panels with the appropriate tools, I grabbed the panels with my fingertips and pulled them free. Those panels can be quite sharp. Nothing on my thumbs but each fingertip has at least one slice.......
