I've got an appointment with Circuit City next week to intall 6 new door speakers, a bazooka sub woofer with built in amp, and one more amp to power the door speakers. I am not replacing the radio.

Being that this is a hybrid, are there any concerns that I should have concerning the electrical system? Would the install be the same as with any other car? I've heard reports of problems with 12 Volt battery drain after mods like this.

    thanks for your help.

I suppose there may be two concerns. There are only about 100 amperes available, and one would like to have a large fraction of those available for light bulbs and electric motors. But, you can make a lot of noise with 20 or 30 amps.

The other is that when the vehicle is off, you are relying on a (small) 28 amp-hour battery. You could discharge that rapidly.

Just curious, what speakers did you decide upon?

In the front, I will have the Infinity 6010CS component, and in the rear, the Infinity 6012i loudspeaker. The subwoofer will be an 8" Bazooka tube.
