After having a pretty bad experience with Balise Toyota in Springfield, MA on my 2005 Prius, I thought I would share the highly contrasting and very positive experience I had with Toyota of Keene, in Keene NH.

WOW is all I can say - what a difference. Highly recommend them.

    1) Was called about an 06, Driftwood #7 - with no waiting list (exactly what I wanted) - with no pushing of 05 models (which alot of other dealerships did even though I specifically requetsed only info on 05's

    2) Agreed to keep the car "on hold" even without a deposit - for a day - in order for me to figure out stuff on my end and give them a yes-no after.

    3) Got it at MSRP - with no additional silly options that others wanted to add (glas breakage sensor, lockable wheel nuts and other stuff adding 600 or so)

    4) Briana (The rep I dealt with) - drove ~1 hour to meet me more than half-way to make it easier for me (since its in NH and I am in MA I would have needed to do 2 trips up - 1-to purchase car and get paper work so that I could get plates 2-to pick up the car once I had the plates) - this saved me at least 2 hours (i had to drive only 30 minutes to meet her)

    5) Got a follow up call 2 days after purchase asking if everything was ok and car was working fine.

    6) Dealer fees were a little lower then at others 149 vs. the what seemed to be common 200 USD dealer documentation fees.

Of course aside from all that totally LOVE the 06 Driftwood #7 Prius!

    - Love the built in Navigation (I do also have Nav on my PDA - but this is SO much better, no more pre-loading maps prior to trip, barely hearing the voice, turning music down, squinting to see the screen etc.)

    - Love voice activation:)

    - Love the color!

    Best,
    TDD

    You're going to LOVE it!

We have the 05 Silver as well (family car) - and I like the Driftwood color so much more! Love the tan interior as well:)

Have never seen the color, have not even seen the car, did not even test drive one, bought based a lot on what I have read on this forum, made a call to vegas and had a car within about 10 minutes, it has just been waiting for me to make the flight to get it.

In looking at all of the color options the driftwood looked the best to me. My cad was silver, rx7 was red (miserable to keep clean with our dust storms)

Congratulations -- nice to hear a positive story about a dealership.

Since NH has no sales tax, how does that work once you get back to MA? Do you have to pay MA sales tax?

you pay tax in the state of your residence, or wherever you register the car

The Berlin City dealership, near Berlin NH, has treated me very well. It's quite a big place even though it's in the middle of nowhere in northern NH. I found it to be well worth the trip.
