2012 Prius two, installed back up camera with monitor in the rearview mirror...

    i know there are whole lot of posts on back up cameras here.
    but i got the 2012 prius Two.... didnt want to swapt out the HU.
    I never felt the need for the navigation/gps from the aftermarket HU.
    i ride my motorcycle alot and i use MotionX gps app and its works great with my Two with the bluetooth. so i just decided to install a camera with monitor in the rearview mirror.
    once they have a cable adaptor that can be connected directly to the stock HU of the Two, i will do that. for now, this will do. total cost of items, about $55.00 from ebay...

    so on my 2012 Two, i have leather, seat heaters, back up cam, tinted windows... total expense about $1355.00

    Pretty smooth, how much bigger is the rear view that the factory one though? I is possible at all to install the camera and use the factory Two headunit?

    Nope, I hear the stock 2012 Two has a diff cable input into th HU. When they have the cable, I'll use that method. Until then, this will do. The screen on my mirror is bigger than of the stock HU.

    FYI, you own a 2012 Prius two, not Prius II as you were posting. Roman numerals were only used for model year 2010.

    Can you tell us the model of the mirror monitor and camera you purchased? Links? I like it, I want that too.
