I can get a really great deal on this tires at the moment for a labor day sale. The reviews I have read on these tires make them seem like a very solid choice. I was wondering if anyone has owned these tires and how they rate as far as fuel economy, ride quality, wet/snow traction.

I have owned Hankook tires in the past on other vehicles and have been happy with them so I do not have any concern with the brand. My biggest concern with this tire on my Prius is how much

    Thanks for your feedback.

I have no information on them so I cannot say if they are good or not. The price is low ($76/ea) and DiscountTireDirect.com has a $100 rebate for them so that is quite nice. The other leading tires are quite a bit more expensive in the 185/65/15 size for some reason (Ecopia EP422 $93/ea, Energy Saver A/S $124/ea). That means these may be a good deal even if the fuel economy is not quite as good.

I cant comment on those tires, but the previous set on my Prius was Hankook K415 (summer tires) and they lasted pretty well and gave good fuel economy.

Nearly all the Hankook tyres are low rolling resistance, but the best is the Kinergy Eco if you can get them. The 725 is a good tyre if you cannot find the Kinergy.

I run the Kinergy on my gen2 Prius using 205/55/16 and my fuel consumption is presently at 64.8MPG (UK Gallons) The tyres are very quite and give good road holding. In 10,000 miles I have 1mm of wear on the front cannot measure any wear on the rear, so they look like they are going to last.

My previous car was a Hyundi that came with Hankook tyres as OEM and I had no problems with those and they were still on the car, with good treads when I sold it at 45,000 miles.

I have no connection with Hankook.

I have had them on my '06 for 35K and they measure about 50% worn. They are quiet and great against hydroplanning. When I need a replacement for these, I won't hesitate purchasing them. I now have 92K on my '06 and gas mileage is a respectable 43mpg. It would be better except I live at the top of a huge hill so I'm always going up and down. On the highway I easily get between 48 & 52 mpg.

Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately the Kinergy Eco is not an option.

I think I might pull the trigger on them. For $280 out the door, mounted and balanced it might be hard to go wrong with these. And from your comments I feel a little more comfortable giving them a try.

My biggest concern is taking a fuel economy hit. I do not currently have one of the higher MPG rated tires on the car anyway so as long as it stays the same and they handle good in the rain (and it sounds like they will), I will be very happy.

I'm wishfully thinking they might handle a light snowfall ok too :)

    Thanks again for your feedback.

Have you purchased them? How is your experience with them?

Sorry I missed this post. I did buy the tires and I have been quite happy with them. They are great in all situations with the possible exception of snow (the exception is because I think I have a rear end aligment issue that I need to sort out that is negatively affecting my driving in snow).

They are quiet and they did not negatively effect my mileage. I have about 20k on them and they seem to be wearing quite well. At this point I would not hesitate to buy them again.

Most of the Hankook tyre range falls into the LRR category. In my opinion they are much underrated tyres from a not so well known company, giving good grip, longevity of life and good fuel economy. Look out for there "Eco Kinergy tyre" that compare with the best for fuel economy at a remarkably low price.
Some of the more well known manufacturers will be looking over there shoulders at the price and quality of tyres from this now emerging company, now the fifth largest in the world.
