Anybody know what the row of small light bulbs are for? You have your headlamp, then you high beam light, and lastly, your driving light. There seems to be a row of light bulbs between the driving lights and the high beam light. Anybody know if this is functional? Or, if it can made functional by placeing LED bulbs.
    Thanks

On your 2011 Four (Four, not IV, Roman Numerals were only used for packages in 2010. I changed the thread title to reflect this) that row above the halogen headlamps which appears to be LED bulbs is nothing more than an aesthetic thing. There are no bulbs in there. Sure, like anything it can be modified to have LEDs put in there but it takes time, money and the know how of how to do it. It is not something people on here have been doing routinely...

Thanks for the info. I'm wondering if I ask you your opinion. I wanted to change my halogen lights to either LED or HID(Xenon). Which one do you think would be better? I know that the LED's don't project well, but I also don't want people high beaming me because of the HID's. I see that you're in NY. I'm in CA. You wouldnt happen to know of any shops that do that kind of stuff. I'm having difficulty finding anyone that sells the housing for the fog lights in the bumper. I wanted to get Toyota brand, but when I went to the dealer, they didn't sell it. Thanks.

Go to the PC shop at the top of the page for your fog lights.

If you have the cash you can have good projectors retrofitted into your headlights and have LED strips and/halo rings installed. Prices usually start around $400 for labor. Check out places like The RetrofitSource.com and BlackFlameCustoms.com or Lightwerkz

A simple HID kit works but the OEM projectors are not that great and they do create glare to oncoming traffic. I'm cheap and stuck with an HID kit this time. I did a retrofit on my GenII and it was amazing!
