Your car insurance doesn't cover any rental damage?

I'd like to add to this posting as I have had two accidents in the past year where my two Prius's was totalled. The first occured last December in my 2004 where I was rear ended on a freeway. There were four people in the car at the time and I was hit pretty hard. No injuries to any of the occupants but unfortunately the car was badly damaged and not repairable. I got a good insurance determination and was able to buy a used 2010 with package 5 with only 13,000 miles on it. The first week in August, I was running errands and a ran into a red light runner and, once again, there was significant front end damage and the car was totalled with no injuries. I now have a package 4 2011 with solar roof. The best thing is the insurance settlement allowed me to purchase the 2011 without any extra out of pocket expenses. The accidents have been a hastle but I am glad to say that the cars sacrificed themselves to protect the occupants and they hold their value very well.

One other observation that I would be interested in hearing of others experience. On the 2010 with package 5, the previous owner had swapped the 17" tires and wheels for the standard 15". I noticed there was a speedometer error showing one MPH low, verified with a portable GPS. After checking Discount Tire's tire calculater, there was a slight difference in circumference between the 17 and 15 inch accounting for the error. Now I am noticing the same error with my 2011 with package 4 and the standard 15" tires and wheels. Is this something that can be corrected or should the tires be replaced with a bigger size tire?
