hi everyone. kinda in the market for a PIP since I have solar panels....but still doing my research. just wondering if there was any news on the 2013 PIP compared to 2012. i am leaning toward leasing as i am going to assume that there should be a bigger range PIP by the end of the lease of this one. i hope. :p

thanks and looking fwd to my stay here at PC.

Seems highly unlikely given that '12 was the 1st model year. I'd imagine there might not be a refresh until model year 2014.

    FYI, the 2nd gen Prius (NHW20 - 04 to 09 model year) got a refresh w/the model year. The 3rd gen (ZVW30) (2010 to current) got a refresh w/'12.

What kind of wattage and voltage your panels produce? I would to have them installed.

I think one needs to work w/a reputable solar installer to get the "right sized" sized system for your application.

I've talked to one at Costco briefly before and he said some people want to get the biggest system they can whereas the more economical method is to just get one large enough to stay out of the higher rate tiers (we have tiers on pge.com).

How much output and when will depend on roof size and which direction they face. How much credit, if any your utility provides also can depend on when the power's being produced.

    Where are you located?
