I believe its Tein then H&R then Eibachs then TRDs......from lowest 1st.

If I'm not mistaken, Tein's aren't available for Gen II...
    Eibach: front 1.4 / rear 1.0
    H&R: front 1.4 / rear 0.7

Those are really your two best and easiest options.

I've seen more praise for the H&R's...but if you want maximum drop, I guess try Eibach.

Try to get a part number from him on the Teins and check online to see if he is giving you correct info. Also that 2" might be the "average drop" for Eibachs...not specifically for your Prius. I'm curious where did you go?

**I'm also in the same boat looking to lower my Gen II. Probably going to go with H&R for a better ride and still decent drop. Would like to know what you choose and look forward to some pictures!

Depends what part of SoCal you looking in...

I posted this a while back.. "Just got an update for SoCal B&G Spring installs. B&G located off Miramar Rd in SD: 9260 Trade Place, Suite 101, San Diego, CA: quoted me today $160 to install 'Their' springs. Unfortunately they couldn't sell me the springs under suggested retail price. $299. He didn't want to compete with the stores purchasing from him directly. B&G springs can be found HERE for $177.91"

Member Justana said that if you call up a place called SD Tint 858.202.0200 you can get springs and install for $300. Just ask for 'Mike'.

I can't decide to either go that route or this..Coilover sleeves from the Matrix and Vibe which member Toyotechwv has used.

$275 Skunk2 - Spring Rate: Harsh - much stiffer ride.
    Part #:517-08-2450

    or

~$430 Ground Control - Spring Rate: Moderate - maintain closer to stock (saying this modestly) ride as possible.
    Part #:8070.01

Not sure about the Tein's. I do know that when I had My gen2, Eibachs were discontinued so I was going go with H&Rs cause every shop I called said they no longer stocked Eibachs.

You can still find Eibachs either on eBay or random stockists even though they are discontinued. Did you end up with the H&R's then? If so, were you satisfied with them?

I traded in My 06 for a 2012 so I never got the H&R's installed. I just exchanged them for the gen3 H&R's & am very happy with them.

How is the ride compared to stock. I am after a little sportier ride, not just the look.

B&G is 1.0" front and 1.0" rear, meaning you don't get a raked look. H&R is a little more reputable and well-recognized brand than B&G.

I went through this decision 2 years ago and decided on H&R. I had to rule out Eibach because they didn't fit Touring struts. It's been the best upgrade I made and I have no issues so far.

Good luck finding Eibach springs, last I've heard they weren't being made any more. I'm leaning more towards the H&R springs for my personal choice. I'll be looking at getting mine soon my shocks are wearing out... perfect time for some new springs!

The fact that Eibachs are no longer made for the gen2 raises some questions:

    What happened?
    Were there to many problems?

It's not like there's no demand for them.
