I thought it was too much work to enter all of my contacts into the radio. I just start a call from my phone and the Bluetooth takes over and I have the phone conversation over the radio. I think that is much easier.. IMHO

Chicagoaficionad - thank you for the Sprint htc EVO 4G LTE tips. I've been too busy to read up on it and too scared to answer a call - cops might Rodney King my nice person if caught on the phone while driving in Kalifornia. A friend of mine in Florida was put to work on a highway chain gang to work off his cell phone citation. Someday, somewhere, they'll be burying you waist-deep in the ground and throwing stones at you (Kansas? Texas?).

HAHA! It's not the cops I'm worried about. It's the people who call me when the windows are down. When a truck passes by... WHAT WAS THAT! they say... If anything I'll get a warning here in IL, there's a new law where your previous warnings turn into tickets if you get a ticket 6 months after your warning.

I'm still lobbying Toyota/Lexus to license or other wise steal/copy (patents must be up by now) Parrot's bluetooth handsfree technology. Those were the best systems I've ever used. I had a Parrot CK3000 that was about 10 years old that would automatically sync and transfer contacts from any phone I've ever had, from an LG8300 to Blackberry Bold, to iPhones and Android phones. I put a 3200LS in my wife's previous car that would even display the caller's picture id (if set up on the phone with one) on the built in color screen. All it took was the initial bluetooth connect setup and that was it. Everything else (contact transfer) was done automatically on its own.

I don't get it? Why not use the better widget? I guess cost.

You can talk on the phone all you like. You just can't text anymore. Not that this law stops anyone :-( Kinda like speed limits, it's not thought was breaking the law and committing a crime to speed.

Our 3g phones were synced by the salesman. We just upgraded to 3 gs and can not get contacts in. Salesman did do one phone last week and it works but no contacts. We can't get 2nd phone to hook. Hit "phone" in setup and it says "not available". Same with bluetooth. Calling the salesman again tomorrow. I liked having numbers in the radio so I could roll up and tap it for the call. I find the manual too vague to understand. I work on Iphones and still can't get this figured out on our C-2.

I'm one who is also having problems importing my contacts from my iPhone 4. When I first got into the car at the dealer, it automatically paired with my phone. Since then, I just about always have to go into settings on the phone to get it to pair, and I haven't successfully initiated a call from the car. Our other car is a CR-V and their iPhone integration seems flawless. It imported my whole phone book in about 2 minutes and it works great with voice dialing. Any suggestions on how to import contacts from an iPhone would be greatly appreciated. Other than this issue, I love my C2 so far. Thanks...

Good to have you on the forum. I have not had time to work on our's anymore since my last post. The manual just is not very helpful on this topic.

That's true. I have the Galaxy there and after pairing the sales person walked me through the blue-tooth settings and there was something we did (sorry, can't recall from memory) that initiated the contact-sync. It only took a few seconds for all my contacts to upload to the car which was great as now I can say "Call so and so Mobile" and the car places the call. The voice-recognition is excellent IMO.
