I'm sure its in the forum somewhere, but I'm not finding it. How do you remove the essential dash parts to access the radio in a '12 Prius 2? I'm adding an XM tuner...

I just did this. If you go toTIS on the internet and spend 15$ you can print out the step by step removal and reinstalation from the repair manual for Radio and Audio equipment. It involves removing 4 pieces of panel which pull out quite easily, removing 4 bolts that hold the radio in. I didn't need to do this since it was easier to use the AUX input for my sirius radio audio output. The AUX input can be found inside the arm rest. Just lift up the cover. A power outlet is also there. If your XM FM tuner has an Audio outport as my Sirius does , then this by the best way to do this. Yhe sound quality is not subject to the srength of the FM channel that you are using.

I ordered the latest VAIS unit/XM tuner/antenna from Replacement Radios. $249.95 delivered to my door.

Local auto sound shop did the install in 1 hour for $75. I had planned to do it myself but I can't mess with it for that price! They did the emulation and checked the functionality. Seamless install; all factory controls work perfectly!
