It is for the optional ejection seat.... Just kidding it could be for anything though. Most likely it is for the fasten your seat belt light/alarm. Where does it connect or terminate and can you find the other end?

    OP,

I have a 2002, and will check on it tomorrow. Currently under meds for a bummed knee.

Will report back tomorrow when I am somewhat more sober. ;)

Sorry I'm not savvy enough to see what ECU or ECM it goes to.

Ok, if the wire is coming from the floor then it connects to a harness that is located about in the middle of the underside of the seat. Mine is actually connected and the harness is physically attached to the bottom of my driver seat. there is a wire that goes from that harness over to the seat belt.

Will report back here shortly with pictures to hopefully explain what I am trying to say as long as you ignore the pieces of cereal left by my munchkins...

Here is the harness that I was talking about that is attached to the bottom of seat.

And the cable coming from the harness and going to the seat belt.

I can now tell you that my cable comes out of another one (like a T). and this one comes out of the center
raised hump, goes under the drivers seat (all neatly secured) and continues and dissappears into the
drivers backrest. What it does there I don't know.

Perhaps the occupancy sensor for the airbag? Usually though anything dealing with airbags is yellow and blue wiring. Seat belt tensioner? Or the no belt indicator? I can't thing of anything else lol

    Have fun !
