First fill up....I don't dislike this car anymore!

Unlikely it would have made such a difference so quickly. I found it took about 5,000 miles before the engine was giving the best mpg's.

What probably happened is that the car sat in Ready mode at the dealers whilst they were checking it over. This would have dragged your average mpg's right down. Now you've reset the trip they're reflecting 100% of your driving.

Still good though isn't - 50 mpg

 

After fill up it is normal to see high mpg. Gets settled after a couple days of normal driving. But it is possible in this car to get this type of mpg

 

I was about to be really impressed until I realized you were driving the c and reporting your mileage on the v forum. Either way, enjoy the ride and MPG.

I'm in the same boat you were in. Still got 3/4 of the way to go from the dealership; however, I'm averaging a good 48-55mpg. I wanna see the improvements like yours.

Or could it be the type of gas you are pumping? Where do you pump?

 

Remember you are on winter blend fuel now. With summer comes better fuel and temperature so mpg goes up.

 

Actually, I found that my C2 got BETTER mileage while it was breaking-in (mind you, Entu was broken-in during the Fall, and now Winter is here, I have yet to drive Entu in premium weather conditions).

I have also found, and this my own personal experience, that I get better mileage on the top half of the tank than on the bottom half, so I tend to fill up more often than most C drivers.

My MIL just bought a Classic Silver C2, Baby Sister to my Entu, and evening during uphill and heavy traffic driving today, we got 65 to 81 MPG. Baby Sister only now has 71 miles on her.

I suspect a lot of the variations people are reporting on mileage here are due to different driving situations, relatively short trips, and to the car breaking in the driver, rather than the other way around.

After getting settled into measuring mileage on a constant route, my daily commute to work, I have found that most variations in the result come mainly from how much I pay attention to the ECO score gauge and how much I ignore it Mileage has definitely dropped in the colder months, as should be expected due to longer warms ups, the ICE coming on more often just to keep the cabin temperature up, and recharge the battery due to the constant electrical draw of the fan.

 

Yeah, same here, found my first tank gave me not so good mileage. don't know if the dealership had it filled up or the test drives prior to my purchase were a little hard.

 

I would definitely hold judgment until you've done a few tanks of your own, never trust how much fuel the dealer puts in.
